Remote | Director of Talent Operations, Strategy & Automation — $180,000–$250,000/year

We are sharing a full-time leadership opportunity for an experienced operations and automation professional with deep expertise in process transformation, systems design, product operations, workflow automation, and cross-functional execution to build scalable operating infrastructure for complex talent and human-data operations.

Selected professionals will own the automation roadmap across Talent Operations, redesign high-volume workflows, shape internal operations platforms, translate operational needs into technical requirements, and partner closely with Product, Engineering, Recruiting, Finance, and operations teams to improve scale, reliability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Strategy & Roadmap

• Own the Talent Operations automation roadmap
• Prioritise high-leverage opportunities for automation and redesign
• Identify manual work that should be simplified, automated, or eliminated
• Define sequencing and priorities across systems initiatives
• Align automation investments with operational scale and business needs

Workflow & Process Transformation

• Map complex operational workflows and identify bottlenecks
• Analyse failure points, unnecessary steps, and manual dependencies
• Redesign processes for greater scalability and reliability
• Improve cycle time, operational capacity, and error reduction
• Standardise repeatable workflows across talent operations

Operations Platform & Systems Design

• Shape internal platforms supporting pipeline creation and onboarding
• Define workflows, business logic, system requirements, and success criteria
• Translate operational needs into clear product and engineering specifications
• Support systems related to subscriptions, deployment workflows, and operational management
• Ensure tooling reflects real-world operator needs and edge cases

Cross-Functional Product & Engineering Execution

• Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams
• Work directly with operators to understand pain points and user needs
• Coordinate with Human Data, Recruiting, Finance, and other stakeholders
• Drive initiatives from discovery and requirements through rollout
• Manage dependencies, risks, and implementation priorities across teams

Operational Measurement & Continuous Improvement

• Measure impact across capacity, cycle time, manual effort, and reliability
• Track error reduction and workflow performance
• Create visibility into priorities, progress, risks, and dependencies
• Use operational data to identify further optimisation opportunities
• Continuously refine systems and processes based on measured outcomes

Ideal Profile

• Significant experience in operations strategy, automation, product operations, systems, or business operations
• Strong track record transforming complex manual processes into scalable systems
• Hands-on experience with process mapping and workflow design
• Experience implementing automation across operational environments
• Strong product judgement and systems thinking
• Ability to translate operational problems into technical requirements
• Experience partnering directly with Product and Engineering teams
• Background building internal platforms or operational tooling
• Strong analytical capabilities and operational problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
• Experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives
• Comfortable operating from high-level strategy through hands-on execution
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Experience working in fast-moving and ambiguous environments
• Experience applying AI or agentic automation to workflows is advantageous
• Technical fluency with APIs, integrations, automation platforms, or system architecture is valuable
• Experience in AI data operations, human-data infrastructure, marketplace operations, or distributed workforce operations is advantageous

Engagement Details

• Full-time engagement
• Fully remote
• Compensation: $180,000–$250,000/year
• Work will focus on operations strategy, automation, workflow transformation, internal tooling, and systems implementation
• Responsibilities span both strategic roadmap ownership and hands-on execution
• Strong collaboration with Product and Engineering is central to the role
• Equity compensation may also be available depending on applicable terms
