Remote Full Stack Software Engineer

Location: Fully Remote — Open to candidates anywhere in the Philippines

Schedule: Full-time | 9 AM – 5 PM New York City Time (Night Shift) | Immediate Start

About Us

We are a United States-based company operating in the manufacturing and wholesale industry. We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic team and help us build, maintain, and improve our internal and external systems.

As a Full Stack Software Engineer at School Basics, you will help design, implement, and optimize systems that support critical business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend systems that support key business operations.
• Build, maintain, and test web services and APIs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Work with SQL databases, internal APIs, and backend services to ensure performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications across development and production environments.
• Participate in code reviews, system testing, and contribute to development best practices.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code.
• Contribute to improving data capture capabilities and product features.
• Work with cloud-based infrastructure and development environments.
• Adapt to different programming languages, frameworks, and technologies as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams while working independently when required.

Who You Are

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional Full Stack Development experience, with a strong focus on Front End Development.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Technical Core

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Python (including experience with FastAPI and/or Flask).
• Hands-on experience with Python testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest).
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with SQL databases.

Cloud, DevOps & Infrastructure

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), cloud deployment processes, and cloud infrastructure.
• Proficient in Linux environments/servers and Docker, with experience transitioning applications across Linux, containerized, and cloud setups.
• Proficient with Git version control.

Nice-to-Have / Domain Skills

• Exposure to marketing technology (MarTech) integrations, analytics tracking, or CRM systems.

Soft Skills

• Self-directed and capable of working independently while remaining open to feedback, collaboration, and continuous guidance.
