Remote | Gameplay Data Capture Specialist — $10–$15/hour

We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced gamers and gameplay data capture professionals with strong AAA gameplay proficiency, recording and annotation skills, technical troubleshooting ability, and access to a high-end gaming PC to contribute to an advanced AI training and gameplay-data project.

Selected professionals will play and capture gameplay from top-tier AAA titles, record and organise game sessions, annotate gameplay data, troubleshoot capture workflows, and maintain accurate project files for use in next-generation AI systems. The work requires strong gameplay ability, precise instruction-following, reliable communication, and hardware capable of running and recording modern AAA games smoothly. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities

AAA Gameplay Capture

• Play a range of high-end AAA titles according to project requirements
• Capture gameplay sessions using provided or approved recording tools
• Follow detailed capture instructions precisely
• Maintain consistent recording quality across sessions
• Adapt gameplay behaviour to different task and scenario requirements

Gameplay Data Recording & Annotation

• Record and organise gameplay sessions accurately
• Annotate captured data according to project guidelines
• Maintain clear naming, labelling, and categorisation standards
• Review recordings for completeness and quality
• Identify missing or unusable data before submission

Technical Troubleshooting

• Diagnose gameplay-recording and data-capture issues
• Resolve common hardware, software, and workflow problems
• Troubleshoot recording performance without compromising gameplay quality
• Escalate unresolved technical issues with clear supporting information
• Adapt quickly to evolving capture tools or technical requirements

Data Organisation & File Management

• Store gameplay files securely according to project instructions
• Maintain accurate and organised data libraries
• Catalogue recordings and annotations consistently
• Prepare files for transfer using approved workflows
• Verify successful uploads or transfers where required

Quality Assurance

• Review captured gameplay for technical and content quality
• Identify recording errors, incomplete sessions, or annotation issues
• Ensure outputs meet project-specific acceptance criteria
• Maintain strong attention to detail across repeated tasks
• Support consistent quality across gameplay-data submissions

Remote Collaboration & Communication

• Communicate regularly with team leads and other project participants
• Provide timely written and verbal updates
• Share feedback on capture workflows and technical challenges
• Respond promptly to revised instructions or project changes
• Collaborate effectively within a geographically distributed team

Ideal Profile

• Strong passion for and experience with AAA games
• Proven gameplay proficiency
• Access to the specific game titles required by the project
• Ability to follow detailed gameplay and capture instructions precisely
• Mandatory access to a high-end gaming PC capable of running and recording current AAA games smoothly at high resolutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience using gameplay recording or data-capture tools
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and reliable in a remote work environment
• Ability to adapt to changing task requirements
• Previous gameplay QA, playtesting, or data-capture experience is advantageous
• Familiarity with video-editing or data-annotation tools is beneficial
• Experience working with distributed teams is a plus
• No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required

Engagement Details

• Independent contractor engagement
• Fully remote
• Displayed compensation range: $10–$15/hour
• Actual compensation structure is task-based, with payment made per completed task according to project requirements
• Work will involve AAA gameplay capture, gameplay recording, annotation, technical troubleshooting, data organisation, and quality review
• A high-end gaming PC capable of smoothly running and recording modern AAA titles is mandatory
• Access to project-required game titles may be necessary
• Strong gameplay proficiency and reliable technical execution are central to this engagement
• Assignments, capture requirements, game titles, workload, and evaluation standards may evolve depending on project needs
• Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, game studio, publisher, institution, or other third party
