Remote Help Desk Technician

Overview:

We are currently hiring 2 cleared, remote, entry level Help Desk Technicians.

Description:

• Provides technical support to business area management and staffs for personal computer systems software, hardware and network connectivity.
• Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations and network connectivity issues.
• May assign and maintain user passwords for specialized software
• This position will be in the IT liaison support group. This group facilitates software, hardware, and access to company systems for employees. The individual will also support local troubleshooting and resolution, or resolution with the company help desk.

Qualifications:

• US Citizenship.
• Active Clearance.
• Bachelors Degree (A relevant professional certification can be substituted for a Bachelors Degree.)
• Windows 365, Outlook Experience, Teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially when working with users and other support groups.
• Ability to listen carefully, ask the right follow-up questions, and understand a users issue before taking action.
• Willingness to follow documented procedures accurately and consistently.
• Dependability and responsiveness during work hours, especially since much of our work is remote and timely communication through Teams, phone, or email is important.
• Strong attention to detail when handling access requests, user information, ticket updates, and distribution communications.
• Ability to manage multiple requests or issues at one time without losing accuracy or follow-through.
• A proactive approach to identifying roadblocks, asking questions early, and communicating status updates.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
