Responsibilities:

• Architecture & Development: Design, build, and operate resilient Spring Boot microservices powering distributed job orchestration and data ingestion.
• Event Streaming: Manage message broker pipelines, ensuring idempotency, strict ordering, retries, and backpressure handling.
• Data Pipelines & Storage: Optimize indexing throughput performance across document and search stores (MongoDB, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch).
• Distributed Scheduling: Build and scale distributed workload schedulers deployed on Kubernetes.
• Engineering Standards: Design reviews, enforce comprehensive automated testing (unit/integration), and maintain robust security practices.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience with deep expertise in Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.
• Distributed Messaging: Production experience with message brokers (Kafka preferred; RabbitMQ, Pulsar, or SQS).
• Concurrency & Asynchronous Systems: Strong command of thread management, non-blocking I/O, async execution models, and associated failure modes.
• Databases: Practical experience with NoSQL document or search databases (MongoDB, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, DynamoDB)Build Tools & Containerization
• Build Tools & Containerization: Proficiency with Docker containerization and multi-module Maven or Gradle build systems.
• Testing & Observability: Rigorous approach to automated testing (JUnit 5, Testcontainers) and root-cause analysis via distributed logs, metrics, and traces.
• Technical Communication: Ability to write clear design proposals, architecture specifications, and code review feedback.

Nice to Have:

• Operational knowledge of Kubernetes (pod lifecycles, workload debugging, or client libraries).
• Implementation of resilience patterns (Resilience4j, circuit breakers, rate limiting).
• Experience packaging and distributing standalone JVM CLI applications or worker binaries.
• Schema-driven development (OpenAPI, JSON Schema, Protobuf/Avro).
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and CI/CD automation.
• Polyglot familiarity (Go, TypeScript, Rust).
