Three Remote Legal Clerkships – Pathway to Permanent Graduate Lawyer Roles
Three positions available
Start date: 1 September 2026
Are you a law graduate looking for practical experience that will genuinely prepare you for legal practice?
We are offering three remote legal clerkships, beginning on 1 September 2026. The programme provides practical, hands-on training and a direct pathway into a permanent, full-time position with our firm for candidates who successfully complete the programme.
Eligibility requirements
To apply, you must:
Applications from current law students or applicants who have not completed Professionals will not be considered.
A different kind of clerkship
Unlike a traditional clerkship, this programme is completed remotely and provides a safe, simulated legal environment in which you can learn by doing.
You will be encouraged to ask questions, attempt unfamiliar work and learn from your mistakes. Because the work is completed in a training environment rather than on active client files, you can develop your skills without the real-world consequences that legal mistakes can sometimes carry.
Throughout the programme, you will learn:
Practical and supportive training
Although the clerkship is completed remotely, you will not be expected to learn alone.
You will have a dedicated buddy throughout the programme, regular support and the opportunity to ask questions whenever you need assistance. The purpose is to help you develop confidence, sound judgment and practical legal skills, not simply test your theoretical knowledge.
The programme closely reflects the work and situations you are likely to encounter in practice while providing a comfortable environment in which mistakes become valuable learning opportunities.
A genuine pathway to permanent employment
At the end of the clerkship, you will complete a practical simulated assessment covering the skills developed during the programme.
Candidates who achieve a final result of 70% or higher will be offered a permanent, full-time position with our firm. The starting salary will be between $60,000 and $65,000, depending on the candidate’s final assessment result.
Our aim is for successful clerks to finish the programme with the practical knowledge and confidence needed to succeed as graduate lawyers, particularly within residential property law.
Previous graduates who have completed this training have progressed rapidly. Within approximately three months of finishing the programme, successful graduates have been capable of managing up to 50 conveyancing files with a high level of autonomy. Their practical skills have often been well ahead of what would ordinarily be expected at the same level of experience, largely because of the depth and structure of the training provided.
Who we are looking for
This opportunity may suit a law graduate who:
Previous conveyancing experience is not essential. We are more interested in your attitude, communication skills, attention to detail and willingness to learn.
If this sounds like the kind of opportunity you would be interested in, we would be pleased to have a further discussion with you.
Please apply with your CV, academic transcript and a brief cover letter explaining why you are interested in the clerkship, what you hope to gain from the programme and why you would like to develop a career in property law. Send your applications to [email protected]
