We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced Litigation Associate Attorneys from top-tier U.S. law firms with strong expertise across complex litigation, M&A, private equity, capital markets, contract drafting, data privacy, and sophisticated transactional matters to contribute to an advanced legal AI training and evaluation project.

Selected professionals will review complex legal documents, draft representative agreements and clauses, evaluate sophisticated legal scenarios, and provide structured commentary used to improve AI-generated legal reasoning. The work combines litigation judgement with exposure to high-value transactional matters and requires exceptional legal analysis, drafting precision, and written communication. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities

Complex Litigation & Transactional Review

  • Review and analyse complex litigation and transactional legal documents
  • Evaluate contracts and legal materials involving M&A, private equity, and capital-markets activity
  • Identify drafting weaknesses, legal risks, inconsistencies, and analytical gaps
  • Assess whether legal reasoning appropriately reflects the underlying facts and transaction structure
  • Apply high standards of legal precision across sophisticated matters

Contract Drafting & Transaction Documentation

  • Draft sample agreements, clauses, and related legal materials
  • Apply experience from high-value M&A and private-equity transactions
  • Review contractual provisions for clarity, enforceability, and commercial relevance
  • Analyse drafting choices and alternative approaches
  • Produce professional-quality work product suitable for expert evaluation

Legal Scenario Evaluation

  • Evaluate complex legal scenarios and provide structured expert commentary
  • Analyse matters involving data privacy, cross-border transactions, and related commercial issues
  • Identify legal assumptions, jurisdictional considerations, and material uncertainties
  • Distinguish strong legal reasoning from incomplete or unsupported analysis
  • Apply practical legal judgement to simulated high-stakes matters

Legal Frameworks & Review Rubrics

  • Contribute to development of legal frameworks and structured decision criteria
  • Help define what constitutes a strong legal response or analysis
  • Develop or apply review rubrics where relevant
  • Support consistent evaluation across complex legal tasks
  • Document reasoning clearly to improve future evaluation quality

Remote Collaboration & Iterative Review

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a remote environment
  • Participate in iterative feedback cycles to refine legal training data
  • Incorporate project feedback while maintaining substantive legal accuracy
  • Communicate sophisticated legal concepts clearly to varied audiences
  • Contribute to practical, high-quality simulated legal workflows

Ideal Profile

  • JD from a U.S. law school
  • Active U.S. bar admission in good standing
  • Experience at an AmLaw 100 or comparably prestigious U.S. law firm
  • Professional background involving complex litigation and sophisticated transactional matters
  • Demonstrated expertise in M&A, private equity, capital markets, contract drafting, or data privacy
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written communication and ability to articulate complex legal reasoning clearly
  • Strong attention to detail in high-stakes legal contexts
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across remote and multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience developing or applying structured legal review rubrics is advantageous
  • Prior AI-training or legal-technology experience is beneficial but not required
  • No prior experience in AI is required

  • Independent contractor engagement
  • Fully remote
  • Compensation: $140–$400/hour
  • Work will involve complex legal-document review, contract drafting, litigation and transactional analysis, structured commentary, and AI-output evaluation
  • Experience from top-tier U.S. law firms is central to this engagement
  • Assignments may involve M&A, private equity, capital markets, data privacy, cross-border transactions, and related sophisticated legal matters
  • Project scope, workload, legal subject matter, and evaluation standards may evolve depending on project requirements
  • Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, law firm, institution, or other third party
