Remote | Puzzle Solver (Coding) — $50–$80/hour

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for highly skilled coding puzzle solvers to contribute to an advanced AI training project focused on algorithmic reasoning, debugging, constrained technical problems, and reproducible software solutions. Selected professionals will solve self-contained coding and technical challenges designed to test and improve the capabilities of advanced AI systems. The work may involve exploring unfamiliar codebases or terminal environments, interpreting precise objectives, implementing and testing solutions, identifying edge cases and hidden constraints, and producing reproducible results that can be evaluated objectively. Key Responsibilities Algorithmic Problem Solving & Technical Reasoning Solve self-contained coding, logic, debugging, and technical reasoning challenges Analyse unfamiliar problems and translate requirements into implementable technical solutions Select appropriate algorithms, data structures, and problem-solving strategies Reason carefully about constraints, complexity, edge cases, and correctness Identify ambiguous requirements, hidden assumptions, and potential failure conditions Coding, Debugging & Implementation Work within terminal-based development environments and unfamiliar codebases Implement correct and efficient solutions using an appropriate programming language Debug incorrect behaviour across code, tests, dependencies, and environment configuration Investigate technical failures methodically and determine their underlying causes Produce software solutions that are reproducible, testable, and suitable for automated evaluation Testing & Solution Verification Develop tests and verification methods that distinguish genuinely correct solutions from superficially plausible ones Evaluate solutions against explicit and hidden constraints Validate functional correctness, robustness, and expected behaviour across edge cases Review technical outputs for completeness and reproducibility Document verification approaches clearly so solutions can be independently assessed AI-Generated Solution Review Review AI-generated code and technical solutions for logic errors, incomplete reasoning, and constraint violations Identify cases where generated solutions appear plausible but fail under deeper testing Evaluate implementation choices, algorithmic reasoning, and technical trade-offs Explain why a proposed solution succeeds or fails Provide clear written reasoning that can support improvements in AI coding performance Ideal Profile Strong algorithmic problem-solving ability Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language such as C++, Python, Java, Rust, Go, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript Strong understanding of common data structures and algorithms Ability to reason carefully about computational complexity, constraints, edge cases, and correctness Experience debugging unfamiliar code or solving technically ambiguous problems Comfortable working independently in terminal-based development environments Ability to produce reproducible and testable software solutions Clear written and verbal technical communication skills Competitive-programming experience is advantageous A public or otherwise verifiable Codeforces profile demonstrating meaningful competitive-programming experience is beneficial but not required Engagement Details Part-time independent contractor engagement Fully remote and open globally Approximately 15 hours per week Flexible schedule, including the ability to choose working days and hours Compensation: $50–$80/hour Compensation is output-based, with payment made for tasks that meet project specifications Task completion time may vary depending on technical complexity, experience, and workflow Minimum submission requirements apply The selection process may include screening questions, an approximately 30-minute AI interview, a technical assessment where required, and hiring-manager review Selected professionals should be prepared to begin their first task within approximately 24–48 hours of completing onboarding Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party About the Platform This opportunity is available through 24-MAG LLC.
