We’re working with a well-established and growing accounting firm looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their Business Services team. This is a 100% remote opportunity, giving you the freedom to work from anywhere in Australia while remaining part of a collaborative and supportive team.

The Role

You’ll manage a varied portfolio of business clients and work closely with Managers and Partners across compliance, taxation and advisory.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns across companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
• BAS and IAS preparation
• Tax planning and general business advisory
• Div 7A, CGT, FBT and other complex tax matters
• Managing your own workflow and client portfolio
• Building strong relationships and communicating directly with clients
• Supporting and mentoring junior accountants where required
• Working closely with senior leadership on more complex client matters

About You

You’ll ideally have:

• 3–4+ years of Australian Public Practice experience
• Strong Business Services and Tax experience
• Confidence working autonomously and managing deadlines
• Experience dealing directly with clients
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance
• CA/CPA qualification or currently working towards it
• Xero experience
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a remote team
