Remote | Strategic Project Lead, Finance Expertise — $400,000–$550,000/year

We are sharing a full-time opportunity for an experienced strategic project leader with strong Finance expertise, project ownership, data operations, stakeholder management, and human-data workflow experience to lead complex projects supporting advanced AI organisations and data-intensive initiatives.

The role combines finance-domain expertise with end-to-end project execution. The successful candidate will translate ambiguous customer requirements into clear specifications, design and improve finance-focused data workflows, coordinate Operations and Finance subject-matter experts, manage delivery milestones, and maintain direct communication with senior stakeholders. The position requires strong ownership, execution speed, and comfort operating across finance, data, operations, and emerging AI workflows.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Project Ownership

• Own complex projects from initial framing and scoping through execution and final delivery
• Translate high-level objectives into structured project plans
• Define clear workstreams, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables
• Maintain accountability for project quality, timing, and execution
• Resolve blockers rapidly and keep projects moving toward delivery

Finance Workflow Design

• Translate customer requirements into actionable specifications for finance-related workflows
• Design project structures suited to financial analysis and data-intensive tasks
• Incorporate domain requirements from Finance subject-matter experts
• Identify quality criteria relevant to finance-focused project outputs
• Continuously improve workflows for accuracy, usability, and scalability

Data Pipeline & Operations Development

• Design and refine finance-focused data pipelines
• Coordinate human-data operations supporting project requirements
• Improve workflow efficiency and operational scalability
• Establish processes for data-quality review and delivery
• Identify bottlenecks and implement practical improvements

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Own client communication throughout project delivery
• Translate technical or ambiguous requests into clear operational requirements
• Maintain concise, direct, and consistent communication
• Set appropriate expectations regarding scope and delivery
• Communicate progress, risks, decisions, and next steps clearly

Finance Domain Coordination

• Work closely with Finance experts across relevant project areas
• Coordinate subject-matter contributors and project leads
• Ensure domain expertise is incorporated into project specifications and quality standards
• Review deliverables for alignment with finance-related requirements
• Facilitate effective collaboration between domain experts and operations teams

Team Leadership

• Manage Finance domain experts and project contributors
• Establish responsibilities and execution expectations
• Maintain a high-quality and high-accountability delivery environment
• Provide clear feedback and direction
• Support rapid mobilisation of teams for new project requirements

Delivery Management

• Establish project milestones and execution cadence
• Track progress against delivery commitments
• Identify emerging blockers and resolve them quickly
• Maintain visibility into project health and priorities
• Drive consistent follow-through across project stakeholders

Internal Reporting & Communication

• Provide clear internal updates on project status
• Communicate progress, blockers, risks, and explicit next steps
• Maintain documentation required for operational continuity
• Ensure decisions and responsibilities are clearly recorded
• Support alignment across operational, technical, and domain teams

AI & Human-Data Operations

• Support projects involving AI training, evaluation, or human-generated data
• Coordinate expert-driven data workflows where relevant
• Apply quality-control principles to human-in-the-loop processes
• Help translate customer objectives into scalable operational systems
• Improve processes supporting complex AI and data initiatives

Ideal Profile

• Strong professional background in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline
• 2+ years of experience leading complex projects, operational workflows, or finance-related initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to own projects from ambiguity through delivery
• Strong project-management and execution skills
• Experience coordinating cross-functional or expert teams
• Exceptional stakeholder-management capability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with senior Finance professionals
• Strong attention to detail and operational discipline
• Comfortable making decisions and progressing work in ambiguous environments
• Strong ownership and urgency
• Ability to translate customer requirements into clear project specifications
• Experience with financial modelling, investment analysis, financial markets, accounting, or related Finance workflows is advantageous
• Experience managing technical or data-intensive projects is valuable
• Familiarity with data pipelines and data operations is advantageous
• Experience with AI/ML organisations, AI labs, data annotation, or evaluation projects is beneficial
• Familiarity with AI-training workflows and human-in-the-loop operations is valuable
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and execution-focused environment

Engagement Details

• Full-time engagement
• Fully remote
• Compensation: $400,000–$550,000/year
• Work will involve strategic project leadership, Finance workflows, stakeholder management, data operations, human-data pipelines, project delivery, and cross-functional coordination
• Strong Finance-domain knowledge combined with operational execution is central to this role

• The role requires regular communication with customers, Finance domain experts, Operations teams, and project leads
