Our client is a growing provider of ICT and telecommunications infrastructure solutions, delivering projects across commercial, education, health, government and data centre environments.

Their work includes structured cabling, optical fibre, wireless infrastructure, communications rooms and data centre installations.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Telecommunications & ICT Estimator to support their Sydney-based team.

This is a remote role, working closely with our client's Managers to prepare take-offs, estimates, quotations and tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities

Complete cable, outlet and equipment take-offs from drawings.

Identify project scope, exclusions, assumptions and key risks.

Estimate labour, materials, equipment and subcontractor requirements.

Obtain and compare supplier and vendor pricing.

Prepare draft tenders, quotations and scopes of work.

Review drawing revisions, addendums and tender changes.

Maintain accurate estimating records and project folders.

Report directly to Client's Managers.

Brief the Manager on all key scope items, risks, exclusions and pricing before submission.

All estimates are to be reviewed and approved by a manager before submission.

Assist with project handover once works are awarded.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in telecommunications, structured cabling, electrical or ICT estimating

Ability to read architectural, electrical and telecommunications drawings

Experience completing cable and equipment take-offs

Understanding of copper and optical fibre cabling

Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Good written and spoken English

Strong attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines

Reliable internet connection and suitable remote working environment

Experience with CommScope SYSTIMAX, Panduit, Siemon, Molex or similar structured cabling systems would be highly regarded.

Experience with schools, hospitals, commercial buildings or data centre projects would also be an advantage.
