Role Description This is a remote Ukrainian Interpreter role. The interpreter will facilitate real-time communication between Ukrainian-speaking individuals and English-speaking clients over phone or virtual platforms, ensuring accurate and clear interpretation in both directions. Daily tasks include listening to and comprehending spoken Ukrainian and English, conveying messages faithfully without additions or omissions, and maintaining confidentiality and neutrality. The role may involve interpretation in various domains such as general customer service, medical, legal, and business contexts, following client-specific protocols and guidelines. The interpreter will also document sessions when required, participate in periodic training, and collaborate with support teams to resolve technical or procedural issues.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Ukrainian and English, with the ability to interpret accurately and fluently in both directions.
• Demonstrated interpreting skills, including active listening, note-taking, and conveying tone and intent while remaining impartial.
• Familiarity with terminology used in customer service, medical, legal, or business environments; ability to quickly learn new vocabulary.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with a focus on professionalism and cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to manage time effectively, handle back-to-back calls, and work independently in a home-based setting.
• Previous experience in interpretation, translation, or call centre work is beneficial.
• Access to a quiet workspace, reliable high-speed internet, and appropriate audio equipment.
• Relevant education in languages, linguistics, communication, or a related field is an advantage.
