POSITION SUMMARY: The representative payment posting is responsible for posting payments to patient accounts and to key and verify insurance and patient payments in a timely and accurate manner. Work Schedule: Remote ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Post all insurance, virtual credit cards, upfront payments, and personal payments to patient accounts accurately and balance all checks in imaging workflow environment Post all rejections from insurance companies that are the Posting Department's responsibility Facilitate refunds for all overpaid accounts, unidentified and misdirected payments Relieve and post the suspended payments and balance them within 3 days of distribution Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. Basic math skills, ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages Healthcare billing insurance terminology knowledge preferred (i.e., ability to read EOB’s, EOP’s and remits) Basic knowledge of Medical Insurance terminology Organized, detail oriented with excellent follow through abilities.
