Role Description This full-time remote role is for Spanish-English Medical Interpreters providing Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI). Medical Interpreters will facilitate clear, accurate, and impartial communication between patients, families, and healthcare professionals in a variety of clinical and administrative settings. Daily responsibilities include interpreting in real time, applying appropriate medical terminology, and ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant privacy regulations. The role involves managing scheduled and on-demand calls or video sessions, documenting assignments as needed, and following company protocols and quality standards. Interpreters are expected to maintain professionalism, uphold ethical standards, and contribute to a respectful, inclusive environment for all parties.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Medical Interpretation and Medical Terminology skills for Spanish-English healthcare settings.
• Candidates should possess solid Interpreting and Simultaneous Interpretation skills to handle OPI and VRI assignments in real time.
• Candidates should possess Translation skills for occasional written materials related to medical or administrative content.
• High level of proficiency in Spanish and English, with clear, professional communication in both languages.
• Previous experience as a medical interpreter, preferably in remote OPI/VRI environments.
• Familiarity with healthcare systems, patient confidentiality standards, and privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA or equivalent).
• Ability to work full time remotely with reliable internet access, a quiet workspace, and basic technical troubleshooting skills.
• Relevant interpreter certifications or formal training in medical interpreting are highly beneficial.
