Research Analyst (Economic Policy & Governance)

The Economic Resilience Institute (ERI) is an independent Ukrainian think tank dedicated to applied policy research on economic resilience, governance, post-war recovery, European integration, and institutional reform. We work with public institutions, civil society organisations, and international partners to develop evidence-based policy solutions and strengthen democratic governance.

Role Description

We are looking for a Research Analyst to join our team for a project focused on transparent interest representation, business associations, and public policy. The Research Analyst will contribute to analytical research, policy analysis, desk research, qualitative interviews, and the preparation of analytical products, including research reports, policy briefs, and analytical digests. The position involves close collaboration with the Research Lead and project partners throughout the implementation of the project.

Key Resposibilities

• Conduct desk research on Ukrainian and European legislation, policies, and practices.
• Review academic and policy literature.
• Contribute to qualitative research, including expert interviews.
• Analyse research findings and prepare analytical summaries.
• Draft sections of analytical reports and policy papers.
• Monitor policy developments and contribute to analytical digests.
• Participate in internal discussions and quality assurance of analytical products.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (or higher) in Economics, Public Policy, Political Science, Law, European Studies, Public Administration, International Relations, or a related field.
• Experience in policy analysis, applied research, or analytical writing.
• Strong analytical and writing skills.
• Excellent command of Ukrainian and good working knowledge of English.
• Experience working with legislation, governance, or European integration will be considered an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
