Research Assistant

Role Description This is a part-time, remote Research Assistant role supporting SK Ventures’ work with impact startups and funding opportunities. The Research Assistant will systematically identify, review, and summarize information on grants, accelerators, investors, and other resources relevant to impact entrepreneurs. Day-to-day tasks include conducting online research, compiling and organizing data, preparing concise summaries and reports, and validating the accuracy of information before publication. The role may also involve tracking deadlines, maintaining research databases or spreadsheets, and drafting clear communication materials that translate complex information into practical guidance for founders. The Research Assistant will collaborate closely with leadership, provide regular updates, and help ensure that shared resources are accurate, timely, and useful.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Research and Analytical Skills to locate, evaluate, and synthesize information from diverse sources.
• Candidates should possess solid Data Analysis and basic Laboratory Skills (or equivalent practical research skills) to organize data and apply structured methods to findings.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear written communication and the ability to present complex information in accessible formats.
• Candidates should be highly detail-oriented, able to work independently in a remote setting, and comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a part-time schedule.
• Relevant academic background in social sciences, business, public policy, environmental studies, or related fields is beneficial; prior experience with impact entrepreneurship or funding landscapes is a plus.
• Proficiency with productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, online research tools, collaborative platforms) and a strong commitment to ethical research and information integrity are highly valued.
