Research Economist - Colombia and Latin America

Job Description The Research Economist will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on emerging markets, with a particular focus on Colombia and Latin America. This role involves producing high-quality industry reports, editing and refining analytical content, and ensuring adherence to editorial standards. The Analyst will work closely with the Editorial team to maintain consistency in publications and contribute to the development of editorial guidelines. Additionally, the role includes managing a network of freelance analysts, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, quality control, and continuous feedback, as well as work other stakeholders within the company. Key Responsibilities Conduct industry research and analysis, producing editorial content on the Colombian economy and that of the Latin America region overall Edit reports and articles to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to editorial standards Collaborate with the Editorial team to refine style guides and maintain consistency in reports Commission and manage freelance analysts, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance monitoring Build and maintain a network of subject-matter experts for report interviews Provide ongoing training and feedback to freelance analysts to maintain quality and analytical rigor Ensure timely delivery of reports by managing schedules and resources efficiently Lead client-facing initiatives, including client meetings, webinars, and presentations at industry conferences Co-operate with Sales, Product, Tech and Marketing teams Qualifications and Requirements Master’s degree in Economics or Business Strong understanding of the Colombian and Latin American economies, and the emerging markets overal Experience in industry analysis and writing research publication Proficiency in handling large datasets and conducting quantitative analysis Strong editorial and analytical skills, with attention to details Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environmenт Fluency in English, both written and spoken This role requires a combination of analytical expertise, editorial precision, and project management skills to ensure high-quality research output.
