Responsibilities
Map segments of frontier AI and adjacent technology supply chains. Areas of focus could include specific country ecosystems and/or actors across segments such as capital allocation, raw materials, mineral processing, chip design, fabrication, advanced packaging, datasets, datacenters, frontier labs, and more.
Analyze how ownership stakes, trade relationships, and control are likely to evolve under different technological, commercial, and geopolitical scenarios.
Develop strategic proposals for stakeholders across government and industry.
Qualifications
Strong research and analytical skills, with familiarity in one or more relevant domains: semiconductors, compute infrastructure, capital markets, critical minerals, trade policy, or AI governance.
Clear, concise writing for senior policymakers and/or business executive audiences, with sound strategic judgment and comfort working amid ambiguity and evolving scope.
Adept at using AI models and tools as part of research process. Knows when to use them as a way to augment critical thinking and strategic taste, rather than as a replacement.
Self-directed and reliable in a part-time, remote arrangement, with responsive communication and consistent delivery; experience in government, policy research, investment analysis, or supply chain intelligence is a plus.
Compensation
$50/hour for 8–16 hours per week, with scope for expanded hours and responsibility for strong contributors.
Initial 3-month contract, with opportunity for renewal.
