THREE is changing the way businesses think about commercial insurance. We bring essential business insurance coverages together into a simpler, more straightforward experience for agents and their clients.
We're looking for a highly driven Retail Account Manager to build THREE's presence within your assigned agencies. This is a proactive sales role with clear production accountability: you don’t wait for agencies to send business. You identify opportunities within your assigned book, start conversations, and ask for the sale.
Retail Account Managers are the primary owners of day-to-day agency relationships and production. You will understand each agency’s book, develop opportunities, and turn qualified submissions into binds and premium growth.
Meeting or exceeding assigned production goals is a fundamental expectation of the role.
Job Responsibilities
Agency Relationships and Growth
- Build and maintain productive relationships with assigned agencies and producers.
- Understand each agency’s book, opportunities, challenges, and potential with THREE.
- Develop and execute a territory strategy to achieve or exceed production targets.
- Quickly determine which opportunities can generate meaningful volume and maintain a disciplined sales cadence through agency check-ins, onboarding conversations, business reviews, and activation efforts.
Pipeline and Production
- Generate strong, qualified submission activity.
- Follow up on submissions and actively move opportunities through the sales pipeline to turn quotes into binds.
- Understand territory performance across the funnel, anticipate obstacles, and adjust sales strategies early.
Collaboration and Execution
- Use THREE’s CRM, pipeline, submission, conversion, and production data to prioritize agencies and opportunities for scale.
- Understand why THREE wins and loses business and where friction limits production.
- Capture meaningful competitive, product, underwriting, and agency feedback from the market.
- Partner with Underwriting while maintaining ownership of the sales relationship.
- Execute on team and department initiatives within assigned agencies.
Qualifications
Commercial insurance and independent agency experience are required. Ideal candidates combine sales intensity, technical/product aptitude, analytical thinking, and a demonstrated ability to produce results.
- 2+ years of experience in commercial insurance, agency sales, or a related sales role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead productive conversations with agency partners.
- Demonstrated success in internal agency management, developing new business, and driving measurable sales results.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, quoting, and the submission-to-bind process.
- High personal accountability, strong bias toward action, and the ability to solve problems independently.
- Ability to sell differentiated product value - not simply relationships, price, or familiarity.
At THREE, obstacles are expected. We want people who respond to challenges with curiosity, urgency, and action. If
something isn't producing, understand why, determine what needs to change, and go change it.
