The Sales Analytics & Retail Technology team sits at the intersection of retail operations, technology, data, and business strategy for Hallmark's Gold Crown network. We partner closely with retailers, merchants, technology teams, field leadership, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that improve the retailer experience and support Hallmark's long-term growth. Our team is responsible for maintaining critical retail systems, supporting product and retailer data, improving business processes, and helping bring new capabilities to the Gold Crown network.

WHAT YOU’LL DO & HOW IT SHAPES OUR SUCCESS

The Retail Data Management Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the product and supplier data that supports Hallmark's Gold Crown network. This position is primarily responsible for new item setup, item correction management, and ongoing maintenance of item data within Retail WIN and related systems.

The role works closely with retailers, suppliers, merchants, and internal business partners to ensure product information is accurate, complete, and properly aligned within Hallmark's merchandise hierarchy. Responsibilities include managing item and supplier records, supporting item groups and allied products, maintaining data quality standards, and resolving item-related issues that impact retailer operations and reporting.

In addition to data management responsibilities, this position participates in system testing and validation activities, including testing and user acceptance testing for enhancements that impact item maintenance and retail operations.

Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, curiosity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering a high level of customer service to retailers and business partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing new item setup and item correction requests.
  • Maintaining product, supplier, item group, and related retail data.
  • Assigning and maintaining merchandise hierarchy classifications and item attributes.
  • Researching and resolving item data issues and discrepancies.
  • Supporting allied product and supplier management activities.
  • Participating in system testing, validation, and implementation activities.
  • Partnering with retailers and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely execution of requests.
  • Supporting data quality initiatives and continuous process improvements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following are required to be considered for this role: 

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of retail, customer support, data entry, administrative support, or related experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Professional experience prioritizing work and meeting deadlines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with retail systems, merchandise systems, or product data management
  • Experience maintaining data accuracy and resolving data issues
  • Experience working with business partners, customers, or suppliers to complete requests and resolve problems
  • Experience with system testing, validation, or user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Experience using incident, ticket, or request management systems
  • Experience managing work within established service level agreements (SLAs)

  • The salary range for this role is $23 - $30/hour. Final compensation varies based on several factors.
