Retail Sales & Key Account Manager VA

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive, execution-minded Retail Sales & Key Account Manager to drive day-to-day commercial growth and support the expansion of our brands across major US retailers. Working closely with our CEO, Finance, Marketing, and Product teams, you will own the operational touchpoints of retailer relationships—from initial outreach and line reviews to promotion tracking and item setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Development & Outreach: Identify prospective retail partners, conduct outreach to buyers, and pitch tailored assortments, line reviews, and proposals to build a healthy retail pipeline.
• Key Account Management: Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned retail accounts. Manage day-to-day communications regarding purchase orders, pricing, planograms, item setup, and launch timelines.
• Retail Meetings & Presentations: Prepare sales materials, lead business reviews, coordinate product samples, and deliver clear follow-ups and action items after meetings.
• New Product & Launch Execution: Own the launch process across internal departments (Operations, Product, Marketing) to ensure retailers receive pricing, digital assets, and item data on time.
• Promotions & Commercial Execution: Align promotional calendars with retail partners, collaborate with Finance to evaluate margin structures and deductions, and review post-promotional ROI.
• Pipeline & Account Tracking: Track sales metrics, open actions, sell-in forecasts, and launch milestones, flagging risks or commercial roadblocks early to leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Virtual Assistant (VA) in a remote environment.
• Proven track record in retail sales, account management, or business development—preferably within Beauty, Personal Care, or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG).
• Solid understanding of major US retailer processes, vendor requirements, and setup systems.
• Familiarity with pricing structures, margins, promotional strategies, and retailer deductions.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with strong skills in building compelling sales decks and retailer proposals.
• Highly organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment managing multiple account streams.

Position Details

• Location: Remote / Virtual
• Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
• Compensation: $12.00 USD / hour
• Scope: Operational sales and account management role (strategic level/c-suite negotiations are supported by senior management).
