Job Family : PFS General Travel Required : Up to 50% Clearance Required : None What You Will Do : The CommonSpirit Revenue Cycle Director / Mission Liaison is responsible for serving as a senior operational liaison between CommonSpirit revenue cycle leadership, market and facility leaders, Guidehouse Managed Services, Epic, CSI, and other vendor partners. This role supports revenue cycle stabilization, command center execution, market issue escalation, KPI review, workflow alignment, and operational readiness following the CommonSpirit revenue cycle transition. The Director will help translate enterprise priorities into market-level action, reinforce standard workflows, monitor revenue cycle performance, and ensure timely resolution of barriers impacting cash, claims, A/R, denials, NOA, billing, payment posting, charge capture, and related hospital revenue cycle functions. Serve as a visible revenue cycle leader and trusted liaison for CommonSpirit market, facility, and functional leaders during transition, go-live, and stabilization activities. Coordinate daily operational alignment across CommonSpirit, Guidehouse, Epic, CSI, and vendor teams to identify, prioritize, and resolve revenue cycle issues impacting performance. Support command center routines, including Liaison Leader Huddles, HB Acute Dashboard meetings, Market Top 10 preparation, National Top 10 review, and Revenue Cycle Executive Report Out preparation. Monitor revenue cycle KPIs and operational dashboards, including cash posted, A/R days, aged A/R, DNFB, CFB, clean claim rate, claim edits, denial trends, charge lag, registration quality, payment posting, and reconciliation metrics. Review daily market and functional performance trends, identify off-track areas, and escalate critical risks requiring leadership intervention or cross-functional coordination. Partner with operational leaders to validate work queue movement, assigned inventory completion, payer follow-up, denial resolution, billing correction activity, payment posting, and account reconciliation. Support market leaders in documenting, prioritizing, and resolving issues surfaced through ServiceNow, functional huddles, vendor meetings, operational dashboards, and local leadership escalation channels. Reinforce compliance with standard revenue cycle workflows, payer requirements, hospital policies, HIPAA, regulatory expectations, and approved CommonSpirit operating procedures. Coordinate with Patient Access, HIM, Coding/CDI, Revenue Integrity, Billing, A/R Follow-Up, Denials, NOA, Cash Posting, Credit Balance, Contract Compliance, and Finance leaders to address dependencies and operational gaps. Facilitate preparation of executive-ready updates, including prioritized issues, root causes, mitigation plans, action items, owners, due dates, and next-day priorities. Provide leadership presence during go-live and post-live stabilization by engaging with market teams, validating process adoption, and ensuring barriers are promptly routed to the appropriate owner. Support development and refinement of job aids, SOPs, reporting expectations, escalation pathways, meeting materials, and communication tools needed to stabilize revenue cycle operations. Demonstrate strong judgment, executive communication skills, operational urgency, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority issues in a complex, multi-market hospital revenue cycle environment. Leadership and Operational Expectations: Maintain a visible leadership presence with CommonSpirit market and facility leaders, especially during operational transition and stabilization periods. Promote proactive issue identification, transparent communication, timely escalation, and disciplined follow-through on assigned action items. Partner with operational owners to confirm work is progressing in the host systems and that reporting reconciles to assigned worklists and source-of-truth data. Ensure daily productivity, quality, and inventory movement are reviewed and escalated when expected progress is not achieved. Support a collaborative leadership culture that reinforces accountability, urgency, mission alignment, and respectful partnership with CommonSpirit stakeholders. What You Will Need : Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12 years of relevant healthcare revenue cycle experience; relevant experience may be substituted for formal education or advanced degree where appropriate. Significant hospital revenue cycle leadership experience in a provider, health system, CBO, shared services, outsourcing, consulting, or managed services environment. Demonstrated experience leading complex revenue cycle operations, transition support, operational stabilization, cross-functional issue resolution, and executive-level communication. Strong working knowledge of hospital billing, A/R follow-up, denials, payment posting, cash reconciliation, revenue integrity, HIM/coding dependencies, NOA, patient access, payer escalation, and revenue cycle KPI management. Ability to support onsite or hybrid market engagement as required by the CommonSpirit operating model, including travel or onsite presence during critical transition and stabilization periods. Preference for candidates who can support CommonSpirit market leadership engagement and transition activities with flexibility, urgency, and executive presence. What Would Be Nice To Have : Experience supporting large-scale revenue cycle transitions, insourcing initiatives, vendor transitions, command center operations, or post-go-live stabilization. Experience with Epic, MEDITECH, hospital billing systems, payer portals, work queue management, dashboard reporting, ServiceNow, or related revenue cycle tools. Strong understanding of HFMA MAP metrics, hospital revenue cycle performance indicators, payer escalation processes, denial prevention, underpayment resolution, and operational reporting. Ability to develop concise executive materials, synthesize complex operational issues, and present clear recommendations to senior revenue cycle, finance, market, and facility leadership. Mission-driven leadership style with the ability to build trust quickly, foster collaboration, and support a culture of accountability during periods of significant operational change. LI-DNI The annual salary range for this position is $118,000.00-$196,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
