Our Revenue Cycle team is growing! We are seeking a Revenue Cycle Regional Account Manager to lead operations across our West Region, including California and Arizona.
This is a remote position with the expectation of monthly travel to support and partner with practices throughout the assigned territory.
AthenaOne experience is required.
The Revenue Cycle Regional Account Manager will be responsible for revenue performance for all practices within an assigned region, including Net Collection Rate, denials, and front end revenue cycle accuracy. The Regional Account Manager will analyze data, identify trends, determine root cause, and lead resolution by assigning work through RCM managers and regional support. The Regional Account Manager will be highly motivated to face challenges of a rapidly growing organization and committed to service excellence.
Responsibilities include:
- Owns revenue performance for all practices within the assigned region, including Net Collection Rate
- Owns regional denials and resolves them at root cause
- Provides critical analysis of regional RCM data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
- Researches denial and revenue trends to determine root cause, and defines projects with a path to resolution
- Assigns work to RCM teams through RCM managers and regional support, and holds teams accountable for completion
- Monitors front end revenue cycle accuracy, including new patient account creation, insurance card review, adding new policies at check-in when insurance has changed, and collecting copayments at time of service. Identifies gaps and partners with Operations to address them
- Provides revenue cycle education to practice staff in partnership with Operations
- Meets monthly with physician leaders and the finance team to report on each practice’s revenue performance and explain what is driving it
- Travels to each practice within the region at least once per month.
- Serves as the RCM point of contact for regional practices
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, healthcare administration, or related field.
- Certifications in medical billing/coding preferred.
- 5+ year of experience in healthcare Revenue Cycle Management.
- Minimum 2 years as a manager or director.
- PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Experience with athenaOne required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well with co-workers and clients.
- Ability to present revenue performance to physician leaders and hold position when challenged.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to research issues to root cause and build a path to resolution.
- Ability to lead work through influence without direct authority.
- Strong knowledge of front desk check-in and insurance workflows and their impact on the revenue cycle.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are a must.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
This role has a salary range of $120,000-$130,000 and regular, full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid time off (PTO).
