Job Description This is a remote position. Our good client in the East of England is seeking 2x "Revenues & Benefits Officers", on a permanent, full-time. Roles are offered on a remote basis with the understanding you may be asked to work from the office 1 day per month and initially for the first few days for training & set-up. Duties include: To process all claims for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support in accordance with relevant primary and secondary legislation, Verification framework, guidance, case law, and best practice. To determine Council Tax liability in accordance with relevant primary legislation and case law To have and maintain a working knowledge of the Local Government Finance Act 1992 and case law Determine and award discounts and exemptions in accordance with primary legislation and case law Gather information, explain decisions, and provide advice to the public and their representatives by email, letter, and telephone regarding council tax liability To deal with telephone enquiries both internal and external, in a polite and professional manner, remaining customer orientated at all times and ensure that appropriate response is given within set guidelines and targets. Requirements A minimum of 3 years Revenues or Benefits experience Be a skilled Civica OpenRevenues user Benefits Remote working Local Government Pension Scheme General Annual Leave Entitlement Flexi-scheme
