Revenues Officer (NEC/Academy trained)

This is a remote position.
We are seeking multiple Revenues Officers to join our expanding resilience team on a permanent, full-time basis. Roles are offered on a remote basis.
Duties include:
- To determine Council Tax/Business Rates liability in accordance with relevant primary legislation and case law
- To have and maintain a working knowledge of the Local Government Finance Act 1992 and case law
- Determine and award discounts and exemptions in accordance with primary legislation and case law
- Gather information, explain decisions, and provide advice to the public and their representatives by email, letter, and telephone regarding Council Tax liability
- Deal with all aspects of the collection and enforcement of Council Tax/Business Rates
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years Revenues experience
- IRRV qualified or equivalent
- Be a skilled NEC or MRI user
