REVER-Pharmacy Technician

Job Title: Registered Pharmacy Technician Job Description We are seeking a diligent and empathetic Pharmacy Technician to serve as the primary resource for handling inbound telephone calls. This role focuses on minimizing workflow interruptions due to non-clinical customer inquiries, such as general prescription status and financial information. The ideal candidate will effectively manage calls to schedule medication delivery and payment, ensuring accurate customer profiles for timely distribution. Responsibilities Handle inbound and outbound calls to schedule medication delivery and payment, ensuring accurate information is maintained in customer profiles. Respond directly to customer inquiries when appropriate or route calls to the appropriate staff for prompt resolution and customer satisfaction. Update concise progress notes to facilitate quick assessment of referral status by other roles within the workflow. Provide customer service by utilizing management information systems to answer questions regarding refill needs, verify insurance information, and provide invoice copies upon request. Address patient questions and concerns during refill scheduling and transfer calls to the clinical team, pharmacists, or nurses when necessary. Identify and report adverse events and product complaints to clinicians to ensure patient safety. Perform other duties as assigned, which may vary slightly depending on specific team or program requirements. Essential Skills Experience in pharmacy and preferably registered as a Pharmacy Technician in NC. Proficiency with call center operations and management information systems. Competency in using Microsoft applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to demonstrate empathy when interacting with patients. Professional telephone manner and strong attention to detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications Customer service experience is preferred. Medical office experience or knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Medical claims experience is a plus, but not required. Work Environment The position requires a hybrid work environment in Cary, NC, USA. Training lasts approximately 12 weeks from 9am to 5:30pm, after which the permanent schedule will be 11:30am to 8pm, Monday through Friday. Upon successful completion of training, the role will transition to a hybrid schedule with two days in the office and three days remote. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
