Who Are We?
We insure small businesses and enable big dreams – not just for our customers, but for our people and communities too. With over 1,000,000 active insurance policies, we protect builders, bakers, landlords and more than 1,200 other trades.
We’re a technology company as well as one that sells insurance. That means we build, we fail, we learn and we improve. Through our global social impact strategy, called 'The Big Dreams Project’, we're working to help 10,000 small businesses start or grow by 2030.

1What Is the Opportunity?
Here’s what you’ll be doing:We’re on a mission to keep our compensation and recognition programs competitive, equitable, and genuinely supportive. As our Reward Manager, you’ll act as our subject matter expert on all things "pay and perks"—balancing sharp analytical rigor with real empathy to help us attract, motivate, and keep top talent thriving.
Reporting directly to our Global Head of Total Rewards, you’ll work alongside our Benefits Manager while collaborating with a collaborative, "all hands on deck" team. Beyond owning our pay frameworks, you'll also jump in on benefits, wellbeing, and recognition projects as workload demands—making this a refreshingly varied role where your insights directly shape our culture.
As one of our Reward Managers, you’ll:
- Design, execute, and analyze annual salary surveys and market benchmarking data to keep our pay structures ahead of the curve.
- Implement, maintain, and evolve our company job architecture, grading systems, and salary bands.
- Conduct regular gender pay gap reporting and internal equity audits to ensure completely fair, unbiased compensation.
- Lead our annual salary review and bonus cycles, providing clear frameworks and data toolkits for people managers.
- Partner with Finance to forecast total compensation spend and ensure compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations across UK and US markets.
- Support the design and calculation of bonus schemes and equity/LTIP administration as our business evolves.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in compensation and benefits, reward management, or a specialized HR data analytics role.
- Comfortable with HRIS platforms like Workday and Dayforce, alongside specialized compensation and benchmarking software.
- Advanced in data analytics, treating complex Excel or Google Sheets modeling (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) as second nature.
- Knowledgeable in employment law, tax implications of benefits, and statutory compliance across the UK and US.
- An articulate communicator who can translate complex financial or data concepts into clear, digestible messaging for stakeholders.
- Honest, discrete, and not afraid to challenge the status quo to champion fair reward trends.
(We know it's tough, but please try to avoid the confidence gap. You don't have to match all the bullet points above to be considered for this role.)
We encourage people of all different backgrounds and identities to apply. We are committed to maintaining an inclusive, supportive place for you to be you and do your very best work.
If you thrive on turning raw data into meaningful impact, building smart frameworks, and solving complex reward puzzles using modern HR tech, we want to hear from you. Apply today to help us build a data-driven, people-first workplace!
