About The Role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Reward Partner to join our growing team in London.
As a Reward Partner you will be principally providing a robust and professional, proactive reward partnering service to the wider UK business, guiding stakeholders to thoughtful, well reasoned outcomes. You will provide holistic reward advice and support to the UK business including policy interpretation, compensation analysis, job grading exercises, total reward benchmarking and ensuring well-reasoned best practice.
What you'll be doing
- Further develop the UK employee proposition from a reward perspective, using internal and external insights to inform recommendations
- Provide experienced project leadership and expert advice across a broad range of UK reward activities and projects
- Support the development of reward strategy, policy and associated frameworks
- Undertake robust job evaluation and benchmarking, providing a holistic reward interface for line managers and HR Business Partners
- Prepare professional, polished documentation and analysis for presentation to senior stakeholders, as required
- Use a range of job market data sources confidently, understanding how they inform the reward framework and wider reward strategy
- Produce data and analysis for stakeholders, the wider Reward Team and specific projects across all areas of reward
- Lead and manage the annual incentive and salary review processes, ensuring effective end-to-end delivery
- Coordinate the implementation of Group- and UK-led benefits initiatives Support systems development, including data input, testing and reporting within the compensation and benefits HR system
- Develop engaging reward-related employee communications that enhance understanding and engagement across the UK population
- Manage relationships with benefit suppliers to ensure effective service delivery and value for money
- Respond to reward and benefits queries as required
- Build strong relationships with the HRSS administration team (payroll, benefits, project support), providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure they remain informed of the UK reward strategy and understand any operational implications.
Who we're looking for
The Following Qualities/experience Are Essential
- Self-motivated and highly capable, with substantial experience in reward or as an HR generalist with a strong interest in reward
- Confident working at both a detailed and strategic level, with the ability to translate analysis into broader business insights
- Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills, including experience of drafting clear and effective decision-making papers
- Proven experience of managing projects using recognised project methodologies, improving processes and driving operational efficiency
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions
- Proficiency in using HR information systems
- Ability to operate effectively in a complex, fast-paced, challenging and sensitive environment
- Excellent IT skills, including advanced Excel capability, with experience of collating and coordinating management information and producing accurate reports
- Ability to build credible relationships at all levels of seniority and act as an effective point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Proven compensation and benefits experience within a commercial organisation, including salary surveys, salary reviews, bonus arrangements and benefits management
- CIPD membership is desirable but not essential
