As a Risk Insurance Analyst Senior, you'll play a critical role in protecting the organization through proactive risk management, insurance program administration, and data-driven analysis. In this role, you'll collaborate with operational, clinical, legal, and finance leaders to identify risk exposures, support claims management activities, analyze trends, and ensure effective insurance coverage strategies. Your expertise will help strengthen organizational resilience, improve decision-making, and support a culture of safety and accountability. Scheduling & Logistics:

  • The position is fully remote.
  • The selected candidate must reside in one of the following locations: AL, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MI, MO, NC, OK, SC, TN, TX, UT, WV, or WI.
  • Standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, with flexible start times generally at 7:00 a.m. or 8:00 a.m.

Job Summary:

Analyzes claims information for risk management and insurance programs.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implements and coordinates data collection requirements for self-insured and Captive insurance programs, as well as commercial insurance programs, as assigned.
  • Prepares applications and submissions for assigned programs in line with renewal timelines.
  • Reviews submission data for accuracy and reconciles complex data.
  • Compares and contrasts renewal policy information to ensure accuracy.
  • Creates and maintains related database programs and filing systems.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the certificate issuance and physician database programs and processes to support requests for coverage verification, claims history and physician credentialing.
  • Maintains a working-knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements related to self-insured Workers’ Compensation programs
  • Coordinates, monitors and oversees State Workers Compensation filings, applications, surety requirements, and self-insurance privilege requirements.
  • Processes, tracks and monitors invoices and assists with the annual budget allocation process.
  • Develops, maintains and updates policy and procedure guidelines for all core functional responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience and/or education


EXPERIENCE

  • Five years' experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.
