The Chief Risk Officer function plays a central role in safeguarding the bank’s stability and supporting sustainable business growth. As part of second line of defence, we provide independent oversight and trusted challenge, to ensur e that risks are well understood, transparently managed, and aligned with the bank’s risk appetite and regulatory expectations. We are now looking for a Risk officer / Senior Risk Officer – Independent Validation to strengthen our capabilities in the area of risk data aggregation and reporting (RDARR / BCBS 239). In this role you will provide independent validation and challenge over the quality, integrity, and reliability of risk data and reporting . You will contribute to a key regulatory priority area, enhancing data-driven decision-making and strengthening trust in risk information across the Baltics . Your responsibilities will include: Performing independent validation of risk data aggregation and reporting processes Assess ing data quality (accuracy, completeness, timeliness) and data lineage Evaluat ing governance, controls and data management practices in line with RDARR / BCBS 239 principles Conduct ing reviews, testing and thematic deep dives across risk and data processes Prepar ing validation reports and recommendations for senior management Monitoring remediation actions and follow up on identified issues Collaborat ing with SEB Group and local stakeholders across the Baltics To thrive in this role, we believe you have: A university master’s degree in economics , f inance, r isk m anagement, d ata a nalytics, m athematics or similar quantitative field . Relevant work experience ( over 3 year ) in RDARR / BCBS 239, data governance, risk , financial or supervisory reporting, or validation/audit Strong u nderstanding of data quality , data flows, and key banking risk areas (credit, market, liquidity, operational risk) Experience in analysing complex processes, identifying weaknesses and providing independent challenge. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to senior stakeholders , ask questions and to adapt in changing enviro nment C ollaborative mindset, with experience working across functions and geographies Fluency in English What we offer?
