SUMMARY
As an RIT Co-op student with Rochester Regional Health's Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering teams, you will help to support the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise data and analytics solutions.
LOCATION: Hybrid with occasional travel necessary to our Riedman Campus in Rochester, NY
DEPARTMENT: Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering
SCHEDULE: M-F, days. This will be a 40-hour/week and single-block co-op.

- This position is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, or related disciplines who are interested in developing practical skills in data management, business intelligence, and analytics engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- This role provides hands-on experience with modern data platforms, data integration, business intelligence, and cloud technologies.
- The co-op will assist with building and testing data pipelines, supporting data quality initiatives, developing reports and dashboards, and contributing to analytics projects that help drive informed business decisions.
- Working closely with experienced engineers and analysts, the student will gain exposure to data warehousing, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, reporting tools, and data governance practices in a healthcare enterprise environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sedentary - Sedentary roles are primarily office-based and require prolonged sitting (67–100% of the workday) with minimal physical effort and lifting limited to under 10 lbs. Fine motor skills are necessary for computer work, writing, and telephone use, supported by clear visual and auditory ability. Cognitive and emotional demands are high due to extended concentration, frequent interruptions, independent decision-making, and information processing. Although physical exposure is low, administrative areas within healthcare environments may occasionally involve contact with infectious agents. Some roles may require flexible hours, TB screening, or a valid driver’s license.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.
