This is a dynamic dual-role position for a behavioral health professional who enjoys both educating and supporting clinical staff and helping patients access the right care.
In this role, you’ll use your behavioral health expertise to provide high-quality education to staff while coordinating the patient intake process for individuals seeking or requiring behavioral health services. You’ll play an important role in ensuring patients are connected with appropriate services in a timely, organized, and compassionate manner.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Education
- Provide high-quality clinical education and training to staff.
- Support staff in developing and maintaining behavioral health knowledge and clinical competencies.
- Share current best practices and clinical guidance to promote safe, effective, patient-centered care.
- Serve as a clinical resource and support for staff as behavioral health needs arise.
Patient Intake & Care Coordination
- Oversee the intake process for patients seeking or requiring behavioral health services.
- Gather and assess relevant patient information to help determine appropriate services and level of care.
- Coordinate with clinical and other members of the care team to facilitate timely access to appropriate treatment.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, referral sources, and members of the healthcare team.
- Help ensure a smooth transition from intake to the appropriate behavioral health services.
What You’ll Bring
Education
- Required: Associate degree.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
Experience
- Required: At least 2 years of behavioral health specialty experience.
Licensure & Certification
- Required: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Skills & Qualities
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of behavioral health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, referral sources, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong ability to educate, coach, and support clinical staff.
- Sound clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
Why This Role Matters
This position offers a unique opportunity to make an impact in two essential areas of behavioral healthcare: strengthening the knowledge and skills of the clinical team while helping patients access the care they need.
If you’re an RN with behavioral health experience who enjoys teaching, coordinating care, problem-solving, and helping people navigate their path to treatment, we’d love to hear from you.
