Robotics Engineer (Remote, Full-Time) — León
Rex.zone is hiring Robotics Engineers to design, integrate, and validate robotic systems for real-world automation. You will build capabilities across perception, planning, control, and testing using ROS/ROS2, simulation, and structured QA workflows.

Rex.zone is hiring Robotics Engineers to design, integrate, and validate robotic systems for real-world automation. You will build capabilities across perception, planning, control, and testing using ROS/ROS2, simulation, and structured QA workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robot software modules (ROS/ROS2 nodes, drivers, message interfaces)
- Build perception pipelines using computer vision, SLAM, calibration, and sensor fusion (camera/LiDAR/IMU)
- Develop motion planning and control algorithms for navigation and/or manipulation
- Create simulation workflows (Gazebo/Isaac/other) for scenario coverage and regression testing
- Integrate hardware components (actuators, motor controllers, safety I/O) and troubleshoot field issues
- Define test plans, logging/telemetry, and performance metrics (latency, accuracy, uptime)
- Document architecture, interfaces, and validation results for reproducible deployments
- Mid-Senior experience building robotics systems
- Strong programming in Python and C++
- Hands-on ROS/ROS2 experience (topics, services, actions, TF, launch, QoS)
- Understanding of kinematics, dynamics, and control systems
- Ability to write maintainable code, tests, and technical documentation in a remote team
- Experience with MoveIt/OMPL, trajectory optimization, or MPC
- Embedded Linux, real-time constraints, and hardware bring-up
- Safety practices (fail-safes, watchdogs, E-stops, risk assessment)
- Exposure to RL/imitation learning or sim-to-real pipelines
- CI pipelines for robotics testing, log analysis, and automated builds
