Robotics Engineer (Remote) — Rex.zone

Join Rex.zone to design, integrate, and validate production-ready robotic systems that combine perception, controls, and autonomy software. You will build robot behaviors, integrate sensors/actuators, and improve reliability through simulation, testing, and data-driven iteration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robot software modules for navigation, localization, and task execution
  • Build and tune SLAM, mapping, and localization components
  • Implement motion planning, trajectory tracking, and obstacle avoidance
  • Develop perception pipelines (detection, tracking, scene understanding) and sensor fusion
  • Integrate sensors/actuators (LiDAR, depth cameras, IMU, encoders), including calibration and time sync
  • Create simulation scenarios and test plans (Gazebo) to verify autonomy performance
  • Triage field issues using logs/telemetry and drive reliability improvements
  • Harden deployments with CI/CD, reproducible builds, and testing workflows

Required Qualifications

  • Mid-Senior experience delivering robotics/autonomy features
  • Strong C++ and Python skills
  • Hands-on ROS2 experience (nodes, TF, bags, launch, nav concepts)
  • Solid foundations in SLAM/localization, motion planning, and control systems
  • Linux/Git/Docker/CI experience and strong debugging discipline

Tools & Tech

  • ROS2, C++, Python, Linux, Git, Docker, Gazebo, OpenCV, telemetry/logging, CI/CD

Remote Collaboration

This remote role uses clear milestones, async documentation, and scheduled integration windows for hardware access across time zones.

Apply with a resume highlighting robotics deployments, ROS2 projects, SLAM/planning/control work, and troubleshooting examples.
