Join Rex.zone to build production-grade autonomous robotics systems end to end—covering perception, sensor fusion, motion planning, controls, simulation, and on-robot validation in a modern AI/ML-enabled workflow.
What You Will Do
- Design, implement, and validate robotics software for autonomous systems using ROS 2 (nodes, topics, services, lifecycle management)
- Build perception pipelines (object detection, segmentation, tracking) and support computer vision annotation needs and training data quality checks
- Develop SLAM/localization with sensor fusion and calibration (visual-inertial, LiDAR, wheel odometry)
- Implement motion planning and control (trajectory generation, collision avoidance, MPC/PID loops) with safety constraints
- Run simulation-first development in Gazebo/Ignition and create reproducible regression test scenarios
- Define QA evaluation protocols, on-robot acceptance tests, failure mode analysis, and performance improvement tracking
- Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate embedded firmware, networking, and cloud telemetry for fleet monitoring
- Create/validate annotation guidelines for CV labeling (boxes, masks, keypoints) and safety labeling for human-robot interaction logs
- Contribute to prompt evaluation and operator-assist tooling for debugging, reporting, and runbook generation
- Provide RLHF-style feedback on autonomy behavior to improve safety, reliability, and reduce interventions
- Run offline and scenario-based QA evaluation, plus on-robot trials
- Mid-Senior experience delivering production robotics systems
- Strong Python and C++ for real-time robotics software
- Hands-on ROS 2 debugging (rosbag, rviz, rqt)
- Foundations in estimation, control systems, kinematics/dynamics, and motion planning
- Linux development with CI/CD and reproducible builds
