Safeguarding Coordinator APPLY NOW Key Details Salary: £31,000 - £34,500 per year Hours: Our standard full-time roles are 37.5 hours per week. However, applications for part-time hours will be considered. Contract term : 1-year fixed-term (with possibility of extension). Closing date : 2nd August 2026 Interviews : Week commencing 10th August 2026 Job Overview As Safeguarding Coordinator, you will support the Safeguarding Manager with ensuring that safeguarding is embedded throughout the Foundation, and that all participants are safe, valued and respected. You will be a passionate safeguarding professional, able to educate others, challenge appropriately and ensure that safeguarding is at the forefront of our work. Job Description Promote a strong safeguarding culture within the organisation, role modelling safeguarding best practice; Be a visible and approachable point of contact for staff, participants and parents/carers for safeguarding concerns; Provide safeguarding advice to colleagues, including signposting to relevant support and oversight of cases; Triage safeguarding reports/concerns, giving guidance, making referrals, and liaising with parents/carers as needed; Train staff to increase their safeguarding knowledge; Provide safeguarding administration support, including administering DBS applications and completing school letters of assurance; Deputise for the Safeguarding Manager in their absence. Person Specification Experience of working with and a passion for promoting the safety of children, young people and adults at risk; Knowledge of statutory safeguarding guidance, and other guidance related to best practice and outcomes for young people; The ability to exercise the highest standards of confidentiality, and to work sensitively with those affected by safeguarding concerns; The ability to identify and challenge poor practice; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; The ability to visit sessions across South London, including occasional evenings, as required.
