Overview
The SailPoint operations engineer is responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, and operational stability of the IGA platform. This role will monitor and troubleshoot SailPoint operations, support identity lifecycle and access governance processes, and partner with engineering, application, and infrastructure teams to resolve issues and maintain platform performance.
Remote eligible in NC, TX, FL.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide L2/L3 operational support for SailPoint, including incident management, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Monitor provisioning, deprovisioning, account aggregation, identity refresh, certifications, and scheduled jobs.
- Investigate and resolve provisioning failures, workflow issues, connector errors, and data synchronization problems.
- Manage SailPoint encryption keys, keystores, certificates and trust stores
- Manage SSL/TLS Certificate for SailPoint application servers, connectors, APIs, databases, and other integrated systems.
- Perform production support activities, including configuration changes, testing, deployments, and post-release validation.
- Support SailPoint application and connector operations, including JDBC, RACF, file-based, and other integrations.
- Support SailPoint upgrades, patches, vulnerability remediation, and performance improvements.
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, knowledge articles, and audit evidence.
- Identify recurring issues and opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Partner with IAM engineering, Cybersecurity, PKI, infrastructure, network, database, and application teams to resolve complex operational issues.
- Participate in on-call or after-hours support as required
Minimum Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 4 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 8 years' experience in Systems Engineering, Network, or Information Security
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ Years of experience in SailPoint support
- Experience in working with agile methodology and experience with issue tracking systems like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Should have experience with on-boarding different connector types etc., Active Directory, JDBC, Web Services, SCIM 2.0, Delimited, AWS, Azure etc.
- Strong knowledge of Java/BeanShell, SQL, REST APIs, XML, and enterprise technologies.
- Experience in developing a custom jar file using ANT/MAVEN as per the business requirements to integrate with SailPoint IIQ.
- Implementation experience of ServiceNow and CyberArk integration with SailPoint IIQ.
- Experience in Multi-domain Active Directory Forest/multi-forest configuration to enable cross-domain and cross-forest group memberships in IIQ.
- Enabling communications over Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol and certificate installation is a plus.
- Should have in depth knowledge of OOTB components like Connectors, SoD Policies, Role Based Access Control (RBAC), Workflows, Certifications, Birthright provisioning, Provisioning/Deprovisioning etc.
- Experience with UI technologies like JS, Angular, Angular JS etc., is an advantage.
- Experience with other IAM Tools like CyberArk, PING, OKTA, RSA SecureID etc., is an advantage.
- Broad understanding overall IAM Program within an Organization.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills. Ability to handle strong-minded customers effectively and professionally.
