INTERNATIONAL SALES & MARKET EXPANSION INTERN – CENTRAL & EASTERN EUROPE (CEE)

Location: Remote / Online (from your home country) or Copenhagen (Frederiksberg) / Hybrid

Duration: 4–6 months (Spring 2027: Start January or February)

Type: Internship (ECTS-accredited for your university degree)

Do you want to be the person who breaks an EdTech startup into schools across Central and Eastern Europe?

We have built a platform that teachers actively use and love. Now, we need someone hungry who can bring it to the rest of Europe. If you have ever looked at an early-stage startup and thought, "I could sell this across an entire region," this is your chance to prove it.

GradeAid already has active organic traction across Denmark, Spain, the US, and internationally. Now, we are formally opening Central and Eastern European markets—and you will lead the expansion into your home country.

Because our sales infrastructure and team setup are fully hybrid and online, you can complete this internship remotely from your home country and have it count as an official, credit-bearing internship for your local university. If you are already in Denmark, you are equally welcome at our office in Copenhagen.

ABOUT GRADEAID

GradeAid is an AI platform built for frontline educators. In seconds, a teacher enters their topic and grade level to generate differentiated lesson plans, printable worksheets, interactive quizzes, classroom slides, and screen-free activities.

  • Our roots: Spun out of DTU (Technical University of Denmark) with offices at the Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship (CSE) on Frederiksberg.

  • Our backing: Backed by Innovationsfonden (Innovation Fund Denmark).

  • Our traction: Over 500 registered teachers across multiple countries. One teacher alone created 130 materials in two months. The teachers want it—now we are bringing whole schools onboard.

WHY THIS MATTERS IN CENTRAL & EASTERN EUROPE

Schools across Central and Eastern Europe face severe teacher shortages, heavy bureaucratic burdens, and rigid materials that struggle to engage students. Teachers spend hours each night planning instead of resting. GradeAid gives teachers the power to generate curriculum-aligned, engaging materials in seconds. Every school you bring in makes teaching more sustainable and directly helps keep students engaged.

THE ROLE

You will be our first dedicated international sales representative for Central and Eastern Europe, working directly alongside the founders online. You will not sit in the background assisting a sales manager; you will co-own our outbound sales directly with the three founders. No layers, no waiting for approvals. You get a phone setup, an email domain, a CRM, and a target, and you get to work.

If you are from Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, the Baltics, or neighboring countries, you will open your home market for us. You understand the language, the school hierarchy, and how to speak to a school director (dyrektor, ředitel, igazgató). That is local knowledge no one can learn from a manual.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Cold Canvas & Outreach: Call school directors, vice-principals, and municipal education administrators to introduce GradeAid and book product demos.

  • Cold Email & Social Selling: Write direct, compelling emails and LinkedIn messages that get responses from educators and administrators.

  • Product Demos: Join demo calls online, quickly progressing to running product demonstrations independently.

  • Market Localization: Adapt our messaging, pitch scripts, and outreach angles to match the pedagogical culture and curricula of your target country.

  • Pipeline Management: Build your own lead lists, track prospects in our CRM, and ensure consistent, disciplined follow-ups.

  • Teacher Onboarding: Guide teachers through their first sessions once a school signs a pilot, ensuring strong long-term adoption.

  • Message Testing: Test different value propositions (time savings, curriculum differentiation, student engagement) to identify what converts best.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (team working language) plus native or professional fluency in at least one Central/Eastern European language (such as Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Slovak, Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Latvian).

  • Grit & Tenacity: You are not afraid to pick up the phone 30 times a day or face rejection. You brush off a "no" and dial the next number.

  • Self-Starter: You do not wait around for instructions or pre-made lead lists. You find the angles, source the contacts, and start outreach.

  • Clear Communicator: You write concise, human messages that build rapport with educators instead of sounding like a corporate template.

  • Background: Previous sales, cold calling, or customer-facing experience is a bonus, but drive, curiosity, and high work ethic matter far more.

WHAT YOU GAIN

  • Real CV Impact: Concrete performance metrics (for example: "Built a pipeline of 400+ schools, booked 45 demos, and closed 6 school pilots across Poland").

  • Direct Mentorship: Daily collaboration with founders—including a founder with 8 years of public school teaching experience and two technical founders.

  • Hands-On Sales Training: Learn cold canvas, objection handling, B2B pipeline strategy, and closing from the ground up.

  • Location Flexibility: Work fully online/remotely from your home country, or hybrid from CSE on Frederiksberg if in Denmark. Working hours adapt to your university schedule.

  • Future Opportunities: This is an unpaid, ECTS-accredited internship for your degree. High performers will be prioritized for paid business development roles as we close our next funding round.

PRACTICAL DETAILS

  • Start Date: January or February 2027 (flexible based on your university calendar).

  • Duration: 4 to 6 months.

  • Location: Online / Remote from your home country, or Frederiksberg (CSE) / Hybrid.

  • Compensation: Unpaid curriculum internship with an official learning agreement and ECTS credits. We coordinate all necessary paperwork with your university, whether in Denmark or abroad.

HOW TO APPLY

Send your CV and a short paragraph to frederik@gradeaid.ai explaining how you would pitch GradeAid to an overworked teacher or school director in your home country.
