Founded by an Occupational Therapist with construction management and contractor network expertise, the company integrates clinical and structural knowledge to drive appropriate outcomes. Trained Occupational Therapists conduct assessments, provide detailed recommendations and drawings, and collaborate with CHAMP-certified contractors to manage projects from scope to completion. The David Corey Company specializes in catastrophic claims but supports assignments of all sizes.

Role Description The Sales Business Development role is a full-time hybrid position based in Houston, TX, with flexibility for some work from home. This role focuses on identifying and cultivating new business opportunities in the workers’ compensation and disability housing modification market, including prospecting carriers, adjusters, case managers, and related stakeholders. Daily activities include conducting outreach, scheduling and leading sales meetings, presenting service offerings, and building long-term relationships to grow referral and contract volumes. The individual will perform market research, track leads, maintain a sales pipeline, and collaborate with internal clinical and operations teams to align proposals with company capabilities. Responsibilities also include preparing sales materials, attending industry events, and providing responsive customer service and follow-up to ensure a high-quality client experience.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage stakeholders, build relationships, and provide clear, professional follow-up.
  • Candidates should possess solid Lead Generation and Market Research skills to identify prospects, analyze industry trends, and expand the business pipeline.
  • Candidates should possess effective Analytical Skills to interpret data, evaluate opportunities, and support pricing and proposal decisions.
  • Candidates should have experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within the workers’ compensation i dustry.
  • Candidates should demonstrate proficiency with CRM tools, Microsoft Office or similar productivity software, and basic reporting for sales activities.
  • Candidates should have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing time and priorities effectively.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Health Sciences, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with workers’ compensation, disability claims, or home modification services is beneficial.
