About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and confident Sales Closer / Business Development Representative to join our growing team.
This is currently the highest-priority role.
You will initially support two very different businesses:
- marketing, AI, automation and business growth services.
- accommodation and tourism based just outside Hobart, Tasmania, Australia.
You will be trained on the businesses, services and offers. However, you must already have real professional sales and closing experience.
This Is Relationship-Based Sales
We are not looking for someone who simply makes calls, sends messages or tries to push people into buying.
The ideal salesperson understands consultative and relationship-based selling.
You should be able to:
- Ask the right questions.
- Understand the prospect's problem.
- Identify their desired outcome.
- Build trust and rapport.
- Recommend an appropriate solution.
- Handle objections naturally.
- Follow up consistently.
- Move qualified prospects toward a decision.
- Close the sale when the solution is a good fit.
The goal is not to pressure someone into buying.
The goal is to understand their needs and show them how the business can genuinely help.
Compensation
Base: Client preference of US$6/hour.
Commission: Uncapped commission structure, including:
- Up to 7.5% commission on qualifying company-generated BluMark sales personally closed.
- Up to 10% commission on qualifying BluMark business personally generated and closed.
- Commission opportunities on qualifying Mt Rumney Escapes bookings and business development.
- Additional hours may become available as the role develops.
Commission is based on qualifying revenue actually collected.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Closing
- Call warm leads.
- Follow up enquiries.
- Follow up leads in the CRM.
- Contact prospects who have requested information.
- Book appointments.
- Conduct sales conversations.
- Understand prospect needs and desired outcomes.
- Handle objections.
- Follow up quotations and proposals.
- Re-engage old leads.
- Close suitable prospects.
Business Development
- Conduct outbound prospecting.
- Contact businesses and potential partners.
- Build business relationships.
- Support tourism partnership outreach.
- Conduct corporate accommodation outreach.
- Follow up group accommodation enquiries.
- Follow up direct booking opportunities.
- Identify new business opportunities.
CRM & Follow-Up
- Maintain accurate GoHighLevel pipeline records.
- Track calls, conversations and follow-ups.
- Ensure leads receive timely follow-up.
- Keep customer information and sales activity organised.
GoHighLevel Experience
Full GoHighLevel expertise is not mandatory.
The salesperson will be taught the basics needed for the role, including how to:
- Find and review leads.
- Identify who needs to be contacted.
- Make calls through GHL.
- Send SMS messages.
- Maintain basic pipeline information.
However, previous CRM experience is required, and GHL experience is highly regarded.
The business will also be implementing AI-based lead generation and follow-up systems, so the ability to learn new tools quickly is important.
