Position Overview We are seeking a Sales Insurance Executive for the Insurance & Accounting Industry to support new business development, insurance sales, client relationship management, and account growth. This role will identify prospective customers, understand their insurance needs, present suitable coverage options, coordinate quotes and proposals, and support clients throughout the sales process. The ideal candidate is confident, consultative, organized, and motivated by achieving sales goals while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and compliance. You will work closely with insurance agents, brokers, carriers, account managers, underwriting, accounting, finance, and operations teams to deliver timely proposals and a positive client experience. Key Responsibilities Insurance Sales & Business Development Identify, research, and qualify prospective clients through inbound inquiries, outbound outreach, referrals, networking, and approved sales channels. Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline by conducting prospecting activities and following up on qualified opportunities. Build professional relationships with prospective and existing clients to understand their business, personal, and insurance protection needs. Conduct discovery calls and gather accurate information regarding client requirements, risk exposures, current coverage, budget, and renewal timelines. Present appropriate insurance products, coverage options, policy features, exclusions, terms, and pricing in a clear and understandable manner. Prepare, organize, and deliver sales presentations, proposals, quotes, coverage comparisons, and other client-facing materials. Manage opportunities from initial contact through quotation, application, underwriting review, binding, and post-sale handoff. Meet or exceed assigned sales targets, activity goals, conversion objectives, and service-level expectations. Client Relationship Management Serve as a responsive and knowledgeable point of contact for prospective and existing clients throughout the sales cycle. Respond to client questions regarding coverage, premiums, deductibles, policy terms, documentation, renewals, and general insurance processes. Provide timely updates on quotes, applications, underwriting requirements, approvals, policy issuance, and outstanding items. Follow up consistently with prospects and clients using phone, email, video meetings, and approved communication channels. Identify cross-selling and account expansion opportunities based on client needs and available insurance products. Support client retention by maintaining professional relationships and coordinating timely renewal and service activities. Handle objections and concerns professionally, providing accurate information and escalating complex matters when appropriate. Quoting, Applications, and Policy Coordination Collect and verify client information, applications, financial details, risk data, loss history, and supporting documentation required for quoting and underwriting. Coordinate quote requests with carriers, brokers, underwriters, and internal insurance teams. Review quotes and proposals for completeness, accuracy, coverage details, premiums, commissions, effective dates, and applicable requirements. Track application status, underwriting questions, inspections, approvals, binding requirements, and policy issuance milestones. Coordinate with clients and internal teams to obtain missing information and resolve discrepancies before submission or binding. Assist with policy changes, endorsements, renewals, certificates, binders, declarations, invoices, and other insurance documentation as assigned. Ensure client communications accurately reflect approved coverage information and company procedures. Sales Administration, CRM, and Reporting Maintain accurate prospect, client, opportunity, activity, quote, and policy information in CRM and insurance management systems. Record calls, emails, meetings, follow-up activities, sales stages, client requirements, and next steps in a timely manner. Manage follow-up schedules and ensure no qualified opportunity or client request is left unattended. Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, activity reports, conversion updates, and other performance reports as required. Monitor sales performance against targets and identify opportunities to improve lead conversion, client engagement, and revenue growth. Maintain organized records of proposals, quotes, applications, client correspondence, and supporting documentation. Accounting, Billing, and Compliance Coordination Explain basic premium, billing, payment, invoice, commission, and financing information to clients within the scope of the role. Coordinate with accounting and finance teams regarding invoices, payment status, commissions, refunds, adjustments, and billing discrepancies. Support timely collection of required payments and documentation before policy binding or issuance, when applicable. Follow insurance sales practices, licensing requirements, disclosure standards, privacy procedures, and internal compliance policies. Protect confidential client, policy, financial, and business information at all times. Maintain complete and accurate documentation of recommendations, client instructions, disclosures, and sales activities. Escalate complaints, coverage disputes, compliance concerns, suspected misrepresentation, and high-risk issues to the appropriate team. Team Collaboration and Continuous Improvement Work collaboratively with insurance, accounting, finance, underwriting, claims, operations, and customer service teams. Participate in team meetings, product training, sales coaching, process reviews, and business development initiatives. Stay informed about insurance products, market developments, carrier guidelines, client needs, and relevant industry practices. Share client feedback and recurring sales challenges to support process, product, and service improvements. Perform other insurance sales, account management, business development, and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Requirements Associate degree or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in insurance sales, financial services sales, business development, account management, or a related customer-facing role. Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify leads, present solutions, manage a sales pipeline, and close or advance opportunities. Consultative selling skills with the ability to identify customer needs and explain insurance concepts clearly. Professional phone, email, presentation, negotiation, and follow-up skills. Strong customer relationship management and organizational skills. Comfort working with CRM systems, sales tools, spreadsheets, online meeting platforms, and insurance management systems. Strong attention to detail and ability to review quotes, applications, policies, invoices, and client documentation accurately. Ability to manage multiple prospects, client requests, deadlines, and sales priorities independently. Ability to handle confidential customer, policy, financial, and business information with discretion. Reliable internet connection, a suitable home office environment, and ability to work effectively with remote or international teams. Preferred Active insurance license or willingness and ability to obtain the required license, where applicable. Experience selling personal lines, commercial lines, employee benefits, life insurance, health insurance, property and casualty insurance, or other insurance products. Experience working with insurance agencies, carriers, brokers, financial services firms, or accounting-focused organizations. Familiarity with insurance quoting, underwriting, policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, certificates, claims, and billing workflows. Experience selling to U.S.-based clients or supporting U.S. insurance and financial services operations. Knowledge of insurance licensing, privacy, consumer protection, and sales compliance practices. Experience using CRM platforms, insurance agency management systems, quoting tools, or sales reporting software. Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas, revenue targets, or business development goals.
