Job Summary

We are looking for a Sales Manager with strong bid and tender management expertise to drive new business development and win complex public sector procurement projects.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing the Scandinavian market and winning new customers, working closely with internal product, delivery, and leadership teams.

Job Description

At Nexfeld Europe, we develop software solutions that help public transport operators create smarter, more efficient, and sustainable mobility networks. As part of the Modaxo family, we combine industry expertise with innovative technology to support public transportation across Europe.

To support our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Sales Manager.

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director based in the Netherlands, you will be responsible for customers across the Scandinavian market, including Denmark, Sweden, and Finland.

About The Role

We are looking for a Sales Manager with strong bid and tender management expertise to drive business growth and secure complex public sector procurement projects. This role combines strategic business development, proactive market development, and professional bid management.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for further developing the Scandinavian market, strengthening relationships with existing customers while identifying and winning new business opportunities. In close collaboration with product, delivery, and leadership teams, you will play a key role in expanding our market presence and supporting long-term growth.

  • This is a hybrid position, with preference given to candidates with relevant industry experience.
  • We would prefer you to be based in Scandinavia, or ideally near one of our offices in Aarhus (Denmark), Bergen (Norway), or Braunschweig (Germany).
  • English is our corporate language. Proficiency in one or more Scandinavian languages is an advantage, but not a requirement.

The role involves approximately 20-40 travel days per year.

Key Responsibilities

Bid & Tender Management

  • Lead RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs from qualification to contract negotiation.
  • Develop winning bid strategies and deliver high-quality, compliant proposals.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders and ensure alignment with commercial objectives, product roadmap, and bid deadlines.

Business Development & Market Acquisition

  • Develop acquisition strategies and build a strong sales pipeline across Scandinavia.
  • Identify and engage public transport authorities, operators, and mobility providers.
  • Monitor tender opportunities and leverage industry networks to generate leads.

Customer Acquisition & Opportunity Shaping

  • Drive targeted outreach through direct engagement, networking, and LinkedIn.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Qualify opportunities, shape customer requirements, and position Nexfeld as a preferred technology partner ahead of procurement processes.

As Sales Manager, you will drive business growth across the Scandinavian public transport market by managing the full sales cycle, developing key customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. You will work closely with customers, stakeholders, and product teams to align market needs with Nexfeld's solutions.

You will also monitor market trends, procurement activities, and competitive developments while representing Nexfeld at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
