You’ll have influence, autonomy, and the chance to shape something global with people who genuinely care. Apply for this job! Sales Manager – Western Canada Saskatchewan | Manitoba | Alberta New position: Additional Headcount Location: Remote – Western Canada Reports To: Country Manager – Canada ABOUT LIFE SCIENTIFIC At Life Scientific, we're doing things differently – very differently. We've disrupted a $250 billion global market and are on a mission to become the world's most successful crop protection innovator. Backed by InVivo, the largest agricultural cooperative in Europe, we're scaling fast across multiple markets – and Canada is a key part of that story. Our Canadian business is young, ambitious, and growing with purpose. We combine the speed and energy of a start-up with the credibility and backing of a global leader. We're building a team of high-calibre people who take ownership seriously, bring genuine expertise to every conversation, and are motivated by building something that lasts. If you're looking for a role where your contribution is visible, your relationships matter, and your results make a real difference – you'll find that here. ABOUT THE ROLE This is a genuine opportunity for an experienced sales professional to take ownership of a high-potential territory and grow it. As Sales Manager for Western Canada, you'll manage a portfolio of accounts across Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Alberta – building and deepening relationships with ag retailers, co-operatives, and growers while actively developing new business. You'll carry commercial targets, shape your own territory strategy, and operate with a high degree of autonomy, supported by a tight-knit Canadian team and a globally connected organization. This is a role for someone who is energized by the full sales cycle – from prospecting and relationship building through to closing – and who takes genuine pride in the results they drive. You'll have the freedom to work in a way that reflects your experience and judgement, and the accountability that comes with it. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Commercial Growth • Own and deliver revenue and gross margin targets across your territory with a clear, disciplined approach to account planning and opportunity management. • Identify and develop new distribution partnerships and customer relationships while deepening engagement with existing accounts. • Maintain a strong, active pipeline and bring the focus and follow-through needed to move opportunities to close. Retail and Grower Relationships • Build trusted, long-term partnerships with ag retailers, co-operatives, and key growers across the Prairies. • Understand your customers' operations, pressures, and goals well enough to add real value – not just supply a product. • Represent Life Scientific with professionalism and credibility, because people do business with people they trust. Technical and Agronomic Credibility • Engage confidently in agronomic conversations across key Western Canadian crops: canola, wheat, barley, oats, pulses, and cereals. • Position Life Scientific products clearly and persuasively – on performance, value, and fit for local cropping systems. • Support retailer training, field discussions, and product performance conversations as required. Team and Strategic Contribution • Share timely, accurate market intelligence with the country manager and broader team – what's happening on the ground shapes how we grow. • Collaborate across R&D, marketing, and supply chain to ensure product positioning reflects real-world customer needs. • Contribute to Canadian go-to-market planning as Life Scientific expands its presence across the country. Performance and Discipline • Manage your territory with rigour – tracking pipeline activity, conversion, and at-risk accounts with transparency and consistency. • Report performance clearly to leadership, and bring solutions alongside challenges. • Take ownership of your results and your professional development within the organization. WHAT YOU'LL BRING • Proven commercial track record. A strong record in crop protection or agribusiness sales – you've carried a territory, delivered results, and built lasting commercial relationships. • Established Prairie networks. Retailers, co-operatives, and growers across the Prairies know you – and you can open doors quickly. • Agronomic knowledge relevant to Western Canada. You can hold a credible technical conversation and tailor your approach to local cropping systems. • A proactive, commercial mindset. You identify opportunities, build a plan, and follow through with the persistence and professionalism needed to win. • Self-direction and accountability. You thrive with autonomy, manage your own time and priorities effectively, and hold yourself to a high standard. • An entrepreneurial perspective. You're comfortable building and improving – not just maintaining – and you bring energy and initiative to a growing business. • Strong communication skills. Clear, credible, and adaptable across farmers, retailers, internal teams, and leadership. • Willingness to travel extensively. This is a role built on presence and relationships — travel across your territory is a core part of the job. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE You're a seasoned sales professional with deep roots in Western Canadian agriculture. You've spent years building credibility in the industry – not just selling, but solving problems, earning trust, and creating value for your customers and your organization. You're motivated by challenge. You want a territory you can genuinely shape, targets that stretch you, and an organization where your expertise is recognized and your results matter. You're confident asking for the business because you've done the work to earn it. You work well independently, but you're not a lone wolf – you understand the value of a strong team and contribute to one actively. You bring your best thinking to every customer conversation and every internal discussion, because that's the standard you hold yourself to. WHY LIFE SCIENTIFIC • Ownership and impact. This is your territory. You'll build it, grow it, and see the results of your work reflected directly in the business. • A mission worth getting behind. We're making high-quality crop protection more accessible and affordable for farmers – disrupting an industry that has long overcharged. That's a story worth telling. • Speed and access to leadership. Decisions happen quickly here. You'll have a direct relationship with the country manager and genuine visibility across the organization. • Growth. Life Scientific is expanding – in Canada and globally. The people who build the business early are the ones best positioned to grow with it. • A team that values expertise. Small, high-calibre, and focused. We take the work seriously and take care of the people who do it well. OUR COMMITMENT TO INCLUSIVE HIRING At Life Scientific, we're committed to building diverse and inclusive teams. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. What matters most is expertise, drive, and the desire to do great work.
