Sales & Operations Coordinator (EV Charging)

ChargePoint SA installs EV chargers and runs Charging-as-a-Service across South Africa, home installations, commercial fleets, and DC fast charging.

We work with vehicle brands, enterprise clients, and a national network of certified installers spanning Cape Town, the Garden Route, Gqeberha, East London and the Gauteng metro.

South Africa's EV market is at the point where demand has started arriving faster than our team can answer it.

What you'll own

• Respond to every inbound enquiry website, WhatsApp, email, and partner referrals fast, and be the single point of contact from first message to completed install
• Qualify enquiries: understand the site, the vehicle, the electrical setup, and what the customer actually needs
• Produce and send quotes using our existing quoting system, and follow up until you get a decision either way
• Handle commercial and fleet RFQs, including multi-unit rollouts, and keep them moving to a close
• Coordinate our installer network: match jobs to the right installer by region, schedule the work, and keep the customer informed
• Keep the pipeline clean and current so we always know what is live, what is stuck, and why
• Feed what you learn back into how we sell objections, pricing pressure, what closes and what doesn't

What we're looking for

• 2+ years in sales, internal sales, or a customer-facing coordination role ideally in a technical, trade, electrical, solar, automotive, or construction environment
• Genuinely fast at responding. This role is won and lost on follow-up
• Comfortable learning technical detail: distribution boards, single vs three phase, inverters, cable runs, charger specifications. You don't need to be an electrician, but you must be able to hold a credible conversation with one
• Able to work unsupervised. This is remote and you will largely run your own day
• Confident on the phone and on WhatsApp with homeowners, facilities managers, and procurement teams alike
• Organised enough that nothing sits unanswered
• Valid driver's licence and your own reliable internet & transport
• Fluent English; a second South African language is an advantage

Nice to have

• Existing knowledge of the EV or solar industry in South Africa
• Experience with a CRM, or the discipline to work well in one from day one
• Experience coordinating subcontractors or field teams
