Responsibilities
We seek a Public Project Engineer to support our Department of Transportation business nationally. The position will review project plans, complete project takeoffs, and work closely with our sales reps to assist with project quotes.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Use of online bid resources to identify bidding opportunities and contractors
- Work closely with ADS sales to determine the proper materials needed for DOT projects
- Working in conjunction with ADS sales prepares project takeoff
- Facilitate the quote request process to ensure that quotes accurately meet the needs of customers
- Assists ADS Sales with the preparation of project submittals
- Track project progress in Salesforce CRM software and update Power BI reports
- Ensure all quoted materials meet DOT Specifications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to read blueprints
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Able to communicate with engineers and contractors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce CRM software
- Has complete understanding and application knowledge of ADS and Competitor storm sewer products
- Familiarity with the Engineering Services Request (ESR) process
- Strong organizational, time management, and technical process management skills
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally
Qualifications:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or other related Technical Degree
- 2-5 Years of Industry Experience
