Water Solutions business unit offers a wide range of innovative solutions to optimize all stages of the water treatment process, while safely achieving water quality targets and meeting constantly tightening regulations, serving both municipal and industrial customers globally. This position is located in headquarters in Fredrikstad, Norway. You will be part of a commercial team of five and work within a wider national sales network in a global organisation. In this role, you will play an active part in strengthening existing customer relationships and driving business growth across Norway. You will be responsible for products serving customers within the municipal sector and work with both existing and new customers within your territory responsibility. In this role, you will have the opportunity to organize your own workday and set goals in collaboration with your manager. The position involves extensive travel and includes practical hands-on responsibilities such as laboratory work and product optimization activities. In this role you will be responsible for: Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers Identifying and contacting potential new customers to build strong business relationships Participating in commercial negotiations, and preparing quotations and public tenders Representing Kemira professionally at market activities, seminars, trade fairs, and industry events, showcasing our solutions and expertise Contributing to internal development initiatives and testing projects in collaboration with various technical teams and experts Conducting laboratory trials and full-scale tests related to tenders, quotations, and product optimization activities Taking financial responsibility for your sales area, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Implementing Kemira's strategy, policies, and objectives in the Norwegian market. What you’ll bring to the team: Technical education in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field. Additional qualifications in Business, Economics, or Marketing are considered an advantage. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply, as comprehensive training and development will be provided on the job. Previous experience in technical sales, preferably within the water and wastewater treatment, aquaculture, oil & gas, food processing, or paper industries is an advantage. Experience in environmental technology and process applications is beneficial. Strong business and process understanding, practical approach and ability to maintain a broad perspective, combined with interest in customer visits and hands-on activities Structured, quality-oriented and self-driven way of working to deliver results Excellent interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills to build trust and engage customers and stakeholders both internally and externally Collaborative and open-minded approach and a genuine eagerness to learn and share knowledge Confidence in presenting technical solutions and representing Kemira at customer meetings, seminars, and industry events. Technical writing abilities to prepare public tenders, quotations and reports of high quality Flexibility to work across a variety of environments; from customer-facing work to business events and to technical writing and lab trials Interest in environmental and sustainability topics Flexibility and willingness to extensive travelling in Norway and occasionally in Scandinavia, as required in the role Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
