You will join our innovative FlexGrid HV venture, dedicated to scaling up HVDC and FACTS technologies globally. We work with diverse clients—utilities, system operators, developers, investors, government agencies, EPCs, and OEMs—offering services that range from Technical Advisory and Owner’s Engineering to Independent Engineering and Strategic advisory. Join us at DNV as Sales & Technology Lead FACTS and play a key part in building our FACTS consultancy business, developing cutting-edge FACTS transmission solutions that enhance affordability, sustainability, and reliability in electricity networks worldwide. As our Sales & Technology Lead for FACTS you will be responsible for growing DNV’s FACTS consultancy business globally. You will interact closely with our customers, working closely with our Key Account Managers and Regional Business Managers, achieving order intake and revenue. You will also be responsible for FACTS thought leadership, FACTS proposition development and positioning as well as optimizing the competence level and capacity of the FACTS consultants within DNV. You will safeguard the technical quality of our offers as well the delivery of our services, working closely together with our Bid- and Project Managers and the team of FACTS consultants. You will present at conferences and represent DNV towards major technology institutes (e.g. IEEE, IEC, CIGRE). You will report to the Head of FlexGrid HV and be part of the global management team. This role offers flexibility in work location, with a preference for working out of our Arnhem (Netherlands) office, out of one of our UK offices, or alternatively in one of DNV’s alternative office locations in South Africa (Johannesburg) or Europe. We are looking for a collaborative professional who’s excited to contribute their expertise in FACTS, their market understanding, stakeholder network, business development-, sales and managerial experience and competences. If you’re passionate about sales, business development and delivering innovative solutions, thrive in diverse teams, and enjoy making a real impact, this role is for you. Additionally, we are looking for: A university degree (preferably a master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field) and have preferably 5 or more years of experience in FACTS business development, sales and projects. You have solid technical knowledge of FACTS integration studies, software tools, and regulatory standards. You’re curious and solution-focused, using your expertise to create innovative ideas and drive opportunities. You thrive in dynamic, diverse, and collaborative international and multi-cultural environments. You’re a clear communicator who excels at simplifying complex concepts, and you’re open to traveling (some 20% of the time) to connect with clients, attend conferences, visit project sites and meet with colleagues.
