Job Description



Role Purpose

Support commercial growth and operational excellence by delivering high-quality data, actionable analytics, efficient business processes, and effective commercial systems support.


Serve as a trusted business partner to commercial leaders by translating data into meaningful insights and recommendations that improve sales effectiveness, forecasting accuracy, operational efficiency, and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Systems Management

  • Administer and maintain Salesforce and CPQ, including user access, profiles, security settings, workflows, dashboards, reports, and system configurations.
  • Serve as the primary business resource for Salesforce, CPQ and other commercial applications.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, resolve user inquiries, and coordinate enhancements with IT and external partners.
  • Support system upgrades, testing, validation, and implementation activities.
  • Ensure commercial systems effectively support evolving business processes and organizational needs.

Business Intelligence & Analytics

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards, scorecards, and performance reporting tools.
  • Analyze sales performance, pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, customer trends, territory performance, and key commercial metrics.
  • Identify business trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers through data analysis.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for business leaders.
  • Create and deliver executive-ready reports, presentations, and business reviews that support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual business performance reviews.

Sales Operations Support

  • Support forecasting, pipeline management, territory planning, account management, and performance tracking processes.
  • Partner with commercial leaders to evaluate business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Recommend process enhancements that improve sales productivity, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Support implementation of commercial best practices and standardized operating processes.
  • Assist with compensation reporting, sales planning activities, and commercial operations initiatives as needed.

Data Governance & Process Excellence

  • Maintain integrity and accuracy of customer, account, opportunity, product, and sales data.
  • Execute data cleansing, validation, de-duplication, and governance activities.
  • Establish and maintain reporting standards, KPI definitions, and data quality controls.
  • Ensure compliance with commercial data governance and business requirements.
  • Support data alignment across Salesforce, Power BI, SAP S/4HANA, and other commercial systems.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Sales, Commercial Operations, Finance, Customer Service, Marketing, and IT.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable system, reporting, and process solutions.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation, training resources, and process guides.
  • Train and support end users to drive adoption and effective utilization of commercial systems.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful execution of commercial initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Commercial Operations, Business Analytics, CRM Administration, or related functions.
  • Hands-on experience administering Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform.
  • Advanced experience with Power BI, dashboard development, reporting, and data visualization.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Experience presenting insights and business recommendations to leadership teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification.
  • Experience within life sciences, diagnostics, healthcare, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Experience supporting ERP and CRM platforms such as SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience with Databricks, SQL, Python, or other advanced analytics tools.
  • Experience supporting forecasting, territory management, sales performance management, and commercial planning processes.
  • Experience working with customer master data, commercial reporting, and enterprise system integrations.
