At Oktana, we are seeking a hands-on, delivery-oriented **Salesforce Data Cloud Engineer** to join a long-term project with one of our major technology clients. In this role, you will design, develop, and support Salesforce Data Cloud solutions that enable organizations to unify customer data, build actionable customer profiles, and support segmentation and activation across enterprise platforms. You will work across Salesforce development, data transformation, integrations, and customer data architecture to deliver scalable and reliable solutions in a fast-paced engineering environment.
This is a 100% remote role
You will:
Design and develop Salesforce Data Cloud solutions to support customer data unification, segmentation, and activation.
Implement and configure Data Cloud capabilities, including identity resolution, unified customer profiles, data modeling, and data ingestion.
Develop and customize Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning components, SOQL, and Salesforce platform capabilities.
Design and implement integrations between Salesforce, Data Cloud, external systems, and enterprise platforms using REST/SOAP APIs and appropriate integration patterns.
Work with large-scale datasets, applying strong SQL, data modeling, and data transformation techniques to ensure data quality and usability.
Analyze customer data requirements and translate business needs into scalable Data Cloud and Salesforce solutions.
Troubleshoot complex data, integration, and application issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and other Salesforce professionals to define requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Support enterprise integration architectures and ensure Salesforce and Data Cloud solutions align with broader data and technology ecosystems.
Participate in solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
Document technical solutions, data models, integrations, and implementation processes to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.
Must-Have Skills:
4+ years of professional experience in Salesforce development.
2+ years of hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Data Cloud solutions.
Strong understanding of customer data platform concepts, including identity resolution, unified profiles, segmentation, and activation.
Strong development experience with Apex, Lightning components, SOQL, REST/SOAP APIs, and Salesforce integration patterns.
Strong SQL, data modeling, and data transformation skills.
Experience working with large-scale datasets and enterprise integration architectures.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant certification or other relevant Salesforce certifications.
Experience with CRM Analytics, Marketing Cloud, or other customer engagement platforms.
Familiarity with cloud data warehouses, customer data platform (CDP) architectures, and event-driven integrations.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
