Salesforce Developer (DHS/TSA)

Velocity Talent is hiring a Salesforce Developer to support the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), on the Traveler Redress Inquiry Program (TRIP). TRIP is the system travelers use to resolve watchlist and screening issues. This is modernization work: refactoring a live Salesforce platform toward out of the box functionality, standard objects and newer features like Agentforce.

Type: direct hire, full time.
Compensation: $145,000.
Location: fully remote, US.
Clearance: active DHS clearance, DoD Top Secret, or an active Secret backed by sustained cleared federal contractor work. US citizenship required.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, configure and deploy Salesforce applications with Apex and Lightning Web Components
• Refactor existing applications to use out of the box functionality and standard objects
• Modernize applications with new platform features, including Agentforce
• Manage Salesforce security and access, including roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules and record level security
• Track Salesforce seasonal releases, assess their impact and recommend what to adopt
• Work in a Scrum team and collaborate with technical staff and government stakeholders

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business or a related field
• 5+ years of Salesforce development
• Strong understanding of Salesforce data architecture, object model and data management
• Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Lightning Web Security, Salesforce REST and SOAP APIs, and platform integrations
• Experience with Agentforce, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning App Builder and Flow Builder
• Agile and DevSecOps delivery, including Git, CI/CD and automated testing

Nice to have

• Salesforce Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I or II, or Agentforce Specialist certification
• Federal program experience
• Section 508, FISMA, FedRAMP and NIST 800 53 knowledge
